DESCRIPTION

A project operates in with people, process and technology of an organization.

Projects have an impact on the culture, policies, procedures and other aspects of an

organization. The organizational structure has a major influence on the execution of the

project. The organizational structure decides the resources, communication methods and

other aspects of project management.

The Project Organization defines the human infrastructure of the project. This task

is designed to define the project organization chart, the roles, and the relationships of the

project team. The organizational structure clearly identifies roles and responsibilities of

each position, augmenting the existing role definitions where necessary to cover all of the

responsibilities. The Project Organization technique that is used in this step provides a

standard set of roles and responsibilities which can be customized for a particular project.

This should cover all personnel resources required, both full and part time.

are implementing the Functional Organizational Structure. In a functional organization

structure, the project manager and all the resources work in the same company division,

such as the Architectural, Quality Control, and Management, etc. Generally, the project

director will have more authority than the project manager.
