With reference to your letter no SSSUTMS/Acad/15/553 dated 01.10.2015 on the above

subject, I am directed to inform you that Sri Satya Sai University of Technology & t'Iedical
Sciences, Bhopal-lndord Road, Opposite Pachama Oil Fed Plant, Pachama, Sehore -
466001, Madhya Prfuesh has been established by an Act of State Legislature of Madhya
Pradesh as a Private'University and is empowered to award degrees as specified under
Section 22 ol the UGC Act through its main'campus in regular mode with the approval of
Statutory Bodies/Councils, wherever its required.

Sri Satya Sai University of Technology & Medical Sciences, Bhopal-lndore Road, Opposite
Pachama Oil Fed Plant, Pachama, Sehore - 466001, Madhya Pradesh is not authorized to
open study centre/ off campus centre beyond the territorial jurisdiction of the state as per the
judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court of lndia in case of Prof. Yashpal vs. State of
Chhattisgarh. The University canriot open its centre(s) even within the state as per the
provision of UGC (Establishnient of and Maintenance of Standards in Private Universities)
Regulations, 2003 without the approval of UGC.

The UGC has not granted any approval to the University to open off campus/study centre.
