Velocity Model Analysis to Determine Landslide Potential Zones in Paningkaban

Area

Subsurface analysis has been carried out in the Paningkaban Village, Gumelar Sub-district,
Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province for nine days, from 7th – 16th May 2016 using a variety of
geophysical methods including Multi-channel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW). This method is used to
determine the physical properties of subsurface by modeling subsurface based on shear wave velocity due
to surface wave which propagates on the surface of the earth. MASW used for geotechnical issue where
there is the influence of shear wave velocity (Vs) at depth variation (Park et al, 1999). Survey acquisition
MASW method in Fieldcamp 2016 was conducted in the Paningkaban Village, Gumelar subdistrict,
Banyumas, Central Java which has a dominant lithology with alteration mineral in potential with gold
mining so that the dominance of the rock at the site is obsolete. MASW method in particular can be used
to detect the potential for landslides based on velocity model 1 D obtained. Acquisitions in this study using
a set of geophones which consists of 24 channels with the software used is Doremi Version 1.2.32. While
in data processing using the Seisimager software program. From the research results obtained in this
Fieldcamp scatter shear wave velocity (Vs) in the area of Paningkaban and Kedungurang, Banyumas,
Central Java. Value Vs ranged from 195.5 m / s up to 593.4 m / s anomalous value Vs can be caused by the
fluid that fills a layer of rock as well as the influence of infrastructure such as paved roads. The study also
concluded that the harder the rock, the higher value of Vs will be.
