Presentation 2.1. Setting the purpose for reading: Once sts
open their books on the story, the T will ask
questions about the context of the story. After
that, the T will tell the sts that she wrote some
sentences in the carnival but the magic box
mixed them up turning true sentences into false
ones.
2.1. T: Great! So, please go to page 72 of the book. 2.1. A box, sts

sentences. Can you find which sentences about the
carnival are true (making thumbs up) and which are
false (making thumbs down)?
(The T takes out the copies from the box and gives

Let’s read the sentences first:

3.3.1. Structural Systematization: Focus on
form: The T will guide the sts. to the structural
systematization. She will ask sts to look at the
verbs in the “Yesterday” column. Then, she will
ask the sts. to divide the questions into two
groups.
She will ask them why they are different, which
will lead to how each verb is to be used.

 Oral 4.1. Guessing Game. Listen and repeat or

4.3. Write, draw and guess. The T asks sts. to
write and draw in the handout who were them at
her carnival party. Then she will ask them to
swap the paper with the partner next to him. The
sts. will read the answers to see if there was a
coincidence or not.
Closure Cooling down. The T will play a song for sts. to
be tidy in their places.
