    Linecard for the SM-47S Super Machete Air Defense Fighter (ADF). This linecard describes the single seat Stavatti SM-47S Super Machete now under development by Stavatti Aerospace Ltd. The SM-47 will be a highly maneuverable, Forward Swept Wing, Air Defense Fighter. Powered by a single GEAE F414E afterburning turbofan, the SM-47S will have digital Power-By-Wire flight controls, APG-67 or AESA radar and eight external stores hardpoints to carry up to 12,000 lbs of external stores. With 9-G maneuverability with full internal fuel and six air-to-air missiles, the SM-47S will offer a maximum level speed in excess of Mach 2.2 at altitude and a radius on internal fuel of over 760 nm. The SM-47S will be armed with a 20mm M61A2 Vulcan cannon. A potential successor to F-5, F-16, MiG-21 and other lightweight fighters, the SM-47S will serve as a single seat competitor to the Saab JAS-39 Gripen. Offering greater maneuverability, lower operating cost and superior performance than the JAS 39, the SM-47S will have a base flyaway cost of $25 million. The linecard cover features a rendering of a SM-47S aircraft with a hypothetical Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) paint scheme and livery. The linecard also features a rendered 3 View Image of the aircraft.
