new home in the spot where
she now lives. After he passed
away, she decided it was fool-
ish to not live their dream. She
added, “When you are farming,
you can’t exactly pack up and
move easily.”
She sold the house they were
living in to her daughter and her
family, and construction start-
ed on her new home in May
of 2017, just up the road from
the home farm. The new home
sits on a knoll above the farm, Jean Cornelius of rural Waterville stands in her bedroom in
