Expectations My Responsibilities

 As a pre-service teacher I am expected to

conform to the same professional

standards as the regular staff members of

the cooperating school. I should arrive at

the school at the same time as the

teachers and spend the full school day and

any additional planning time as the

cooperating teacher requests.

2. How did I feel when I saw my practicum site? What are my apprehensions?

 I feel glad and honor that I assigned in my

alma mater. There’s a lot of changes since I was

there. I was amazed with the transformations in

the physical aspect of the school.

On the other hand I am confident enough

that Panabo National High School would be a

perfect avenue for my training ground as a

future educator.
 After my orientation session, with the administrator(s), cooperating

principal, practicum supervisor, together with my co-practicum students, I need to

equip myself with the PT Kit (Practice Teaching Kit) to better prepare myself in this

wonderful world of teaching.

We, involved persons need to be well-equipped with the important matters

regarding with the internship. The pre-service teachers should be aware with

the school’s policies and regulation as well as their responsibilities all

throughout the training. Thus, we will be prepared in facing and overcoming

trials that may come along the way.

2. I feel .. relieved and enlightened with the things I need to consider during

the whole time duration of my practice teaching and the things I need to

comply to achieved my goals. I can now finally apply the theories and

concepts that we learned from our school.

Am I really prepared to teach?

“Am I really prepared to teach?” that question is always in

my mind before the deployment. I may be prepared when in terms

of physical and spiritual aspect but not mentally. I’m not confident

when in terms of expertise in my specialization. But somehow

realized I must be prepared not half but whole heartedly. This is

my chosen field so I must embrace all the things that might happen

during the whole duration of practice teaching.

I know I can perform all things if I will exhibit the sense of

preparedness in teaching. This experience would be of great

impact when I will be in the real world of teaching. This is now

my first step in shaping the society for the better and for sure God

will always be my guide and my great mentor.
