tongs and one (1) drill pipe spinner.
The counterbalances shall be designed so total weight is adjustable to accommodate the different
size/weights of manual tongs.
Any enclosed areas within the mast shall be properly ventilated.
A safety escape line (Geronimo line), complete with all accessories, for the derrickman:
The anchor shall be properly designed to prevent being pulled with 5000 lbs of tension at a
45 degree angle from horizontal.
Minimum breaking strength of the wire line shall be 20,000 lbs.
All accessories required to rig up the system from the derrick shall have a minimum safe
working load of 15,000 lbs
The safety line shall be rigged up to ensure an unobstructed path at all times.
Lighting Requirements:
Minimum lighting intensity is ten (10) foot-candles at approximately three (3) feet above the
working plane.
Light fixtures, plugs, receptacles and related equipment shall meet Class I Division I
requirements.
Safety cables shall secure all light fixtures to the derrick.
Each light fixture shall be the minimum 4 foot 60 watt High Output florescent type.
Note: Substitution for the florescent type lighting is not acceptable.
As a minimum the following lights fixtures shall be installed:
One (1) below the crown on the back of the mast.
One (1) installed on every other girder to the monkey board.
Two (2) at the monkey board
Two (2) installed on every other girder to the A-frame/lowest girder.
Four (4) at the lowest girder for lighting the rig floor.
Note: A minimum of sixteen (16) light fixtures will be installed initially to provide adequate lighting.
Three (3) additional lights shall be available, including plugs, receptacles and clamps for
installation in the derrick, if required to provide additional lighting.
2.3. Substructure

The lifting system shall:
Attach to the BOP's in at least two (2) places.
Shall be fail safe in the locked position (requires power to operate).
Capable of raising and lowering the BOP a minimum of six (6) feet (1.8m).
Each line connected on the BOP shall be capable of raising or lowering independent of the other.
Lighting Requirements:
Minimum lighting intensity is ten (10) foot-candles at approximately three (3) feet above the working plane.
Light fixtures, plugs, receptacles and related equipment shall meet Class I Division I requirements.
Safety cables shall secure all light fixtures to the substructure.

Four (4) on each side of the substructure below the floor. A total of eight (8) is required.

MOTOR CONTROL

reversing with 3 pole over load blocks, heaters, 220 volt control power transformer, operating handle,
fuses and start/stop controls in cover with red “RUN” indication lights.

WIREWAYS
Two (2) sets heavy gauge metal covered along mud tanks to support and protect electrical cables.
Bottom hinges allow wireless to drop open when captive pins at top are released. Non-restraining
brackets allow cables to be added or removed quickly & without tools.
DISCONNECTS
One metal disconnect panel complete with weather proof plugs and receptacles to allow quick and
convenient disconnection of electrical cables between mud tanks during rig moves. Receptacles to
have protective vapor proof caps. Plugs and receptacles to be permanently identified. Heavy gauge
metal box type construction with drip shield overhang to keep water and mud off the receptacles.
Hinged front door provides protection and access to receptacle wiring. One weather proof receptacle
with plug at shale to allow its removal during rig movements.
CABLE TRAYS
Two sets of heavy duty metal cable trays inside utility house to support and protect electrical cables
between generators and control panel. Designed to prevent stress or cutting damaged to cables.
FUELS
Two (2) diesel fuel tanks, skid mounted, with a minimum capacity of 480 barrels each tank c/w two (2)
each Diesel Transfer Pumps driven by an Explosion Proof Electric Motor, complete with Racor, or
equivalent, filter system.

Hydraulic Power Supply:
Two (2) units with output of 90 GPM at 1500 psi to provide the hydraulic power
requirements, except for the BOP closing unit, for all rig furnished hydraulic equipment.
Each powered by a 60 HP electric motor.
Motors shall conform to the hazard classification in accordance with API RP 500.
Reservoir capacity of 300 U.S. gallons for the hydraulic oil, complete with fluid level sight
gauge (non-breakable), baffles and suction strainers.
A method for cooling the pump case drains flow to prevent overheating of the hydraulic
fluid.
The return flow shall be filtered to 10 micron using disposable filters. A by-pass valve shall
be incorporated to prevent filter collapse. Gauges shall be installed to determine when
filters require changing.

pressure requirements and other manufacturer's minimum recommendations
A hydraulic distribution manifold, complete with oil cooling capability, shall be provided if

Tool joints on all drill pipe and HWDP shall have an 18-degree taper on the boxes and a 35-degree
or 18-degree taper on the pins.
Hard banding is allowed, but must meet the following specifications:
If tungsten carbide, then particle size can be no larger than 80 - 100 mesh, a minimum width of
3", with the OD ground smooth with the OD of the tool joint.

All drill pipe, drill collars, and subs shall have steel pin and box thread protectors available, and
have the correct thread profile.
5.4. Crossover Subs (ALL Crossover Subs Required For All Tubular and BHA)
Subs shall be manufactured in accordance with API Spec 7, using ANSI 4140 or 4145 steel. All
dimensional changes in the internal bore shall be smoothly tapered at an angle not exceeding 30
degrees.
All connections except the connections bored for a float, shall have the API stress relief groove on the
pin and stress relief (Boreback type) on the box in accordance with Section 6 of API Spec 7 (37th
edition or later)
Crossover Subs:
Three (3) 4-1/2 XH Pin X 4-1/2 IF Box, 6-1/2" OD X 2-1/2" or 2-13/16" ID.

6.8.Casing Scrapper

General
All equipment and accessories to rig up the circulating system from bell nipple discharge to the drill
string and the specifications listed.
The fluid process system shall consist of three (3) sections; the Removal Section, Addition Section
and Suction System. Total capacity of the active system mud tanks shall be a minimum of 1200
barrels (excluding the pre-hydration tank).
All mud tanks in the active system, except the sand trap, shall have motorized agitators per
compartment.
All mud tanks shall be designed to hold a minimum of 17.0 lb./gal mud when full.
The maximum flow rate for the drilling fluid processing system shall be 1200 GPM for the surface
hole and 960 GPM for hole sections below the surface casing.
All valves, piping, hoses, unions, clamps, etc. shall be a minimum of 125 psi working pressure.
Minimum capacity from the water pits to the mud tanks shall be 500 GPM.
The drill water line(s) shall be a minimum of 4" nominal diameter.
All centrifugal pump suctions shall have an air baffle and removable junk screen installed.
Two (2) each 1-7/8" x 6" x 8" mixing pumps complete with 2 - 100 HP Electric Motors.
Two (2) each Mud Mixing Hoppers each with Venturi system and cutting tables.

Trip Tank:
One (1) pump filled circulating trip tank meeting the following specifications:
Capacity of +/-50 barrels, divided into two (2) compartments.
Each compartment shall be equipped with a mechanical float and barrel marker
accurate to 1/2 bbl. These markers shall be designed to display trip tank volumes at the rig floor
with unobstructed line of sight to the driller.
Two (2) centrifugal pumps with mechanical seals, each capable of pumping a
minimum of 90 GPM of 16.0 lb/gal mud against a 50 foot head.
Suction lines shall be designed to maintain pump suction with minimal fluid left in
each tank (less than 2"). An air baffle and removable suction screen shall be installed in each
tank.
The piping shall be designed with adequate unions to allow easy access to the
centrifugal pumps and valves for repair or replacement.
All valves, piping, unions, etc. shall have a minimum working pressure of 125 psi.
