A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE FACULTY OF LAW

At the beginning of the Faculty Huku Muhammadiyah University Aceh

named School of Law (STIH) Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh which was founded in

1969, initiated by the Association of Muhammadiyah and approved by the Board

of Education and Region (Mapendapwil) Muhammadiyah Special Region No. , E /

03/1969 dated January 2, 1969.

School of Law (STIH) Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh previously named

Faculty of Law and Science Society of Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh, which is the

first dean A. Wahab Daud, SH. After the leadership of A. Wahab Daud, SH. Ended

the college is led by Dean Asmaliah, SH (1974-1976), in this period registered

status has also been attempted, but has not been successful. After Asmaliah

leadership, SH ended the College is led by the new Dean T. Juned, SH (1976 to

1979).

To meet government regulations on Private Higher Education In early

1976 the name of the Faculty of Law and Public Science was renamed the School

of Law (STIH) Muhammadiyah Aceh.

After a period of TM Juned, SH ended then begin August 1st 1979 H. Dean

STIH occupied AB Zainal Abidin, SH. In the academic year 1981/1982 STIH Aceh

Muhammadiyah operating license from Kopertis Region I Field with Kopertis

Region I Decree No. 023 / PD / KOP / 1981 On 1 September 1981.

Furthermore, in 1983 by decree minister of education and culture RI

No.005 / 0/1983 dated January 5, 1983 STIH-MA gets listed status, and in 1986
by Decree Kopertis region I No. 094 / SK / PPS / Kop-I / 1986 dated January 24

STIH-MA has a license to develop into the University of Muhammadiyah Aceh

with five faculties namely: Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of

Engineering, Faculty of Science and Faculty of MT, next to decree minister of

education and culture RI no 267/0/1989 on 3 may 1989 Faculty of Law University

of Muhammadiyah Aceh was given the status of Recognized.

By the Decree of the Minister of education and culture RI no 0251/0/1991

dated 5 May 1991 the Faculty of Law Unmuha given equal status, the highest

status in the private colleges. Dean remain entrusted to Br. H. Zainal Abidin AB,

SH. Then in 1992 the Dean of the Faculty of Law Unmuha followed by Br. Drs.

HM. Yusuf Hasan, SH. Next on 11 August 1998 by decree of the minister of

education and culture RI no. 00014 / Ak-I.1 / UMKIHK / VIII / 1998, Faculty of Law

has received the title of Accredited Unmuha, and the decision of the national

accreditation bodies college national education department No. 019 / BAN-PT /

Ak-X / S1 / VIII / 2007 dated August 25, 2007 on the extension of Accredited

status, so that all academic administrative activities are managed independently.

Vision, Mission and Objectives

Vision of the faculty of Law Unmuha

Achieve Higher Education Law Being able to develop, utilize and integrate

science and technology and IMTAQ, insightful Shari'ah.

The mission of the faculty of Law Unmuha

1. education, research and community service in accordance with Catur

Dharma College;

2. Develop curriculum competency-based Legal Studies;

3. improve the quality of graduates who have high competitiveness

The purpose of the law faculty is to

1. act as a center for the development of legal science, research and

community service

2. produces scientific work quality in the field of law

3. to seek the achievement of the public who are aware of their rights and

obligations, and comply with the law on justice ,

4. establish and develop cooperative partnerships with government

agencies, businesses, universities and other science and technology

institutions.

5. improve the ability, skills and knowledge of graduates in solving legal

problems.

Apart from that while the organization set up at the Faculty of Law, University of

Muhammadiyah Aceh are Ikafhuma, Ikafhuma stands Alumni Association Faculty

of Law, University of Muhammadiyah Aceh. Ikafhuma is a container which aims

to bring all alumni or graduates of the Faculty of Law Unmuha.

Ikafhuma established on March 5, 1994 through forums deal with the alumni of

the faculty of law who have the desire sublime, life free and democratic in nature
independence, globalization and modernization as well as in accordance with the

provisions of the legislation of the Republic of Indonesia and moral ethics are

noble.

Then moved from it Alumni Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah

Aceh participate are called to full awareness of their rights and obligations and

was determined to bind themselves in an organization for the Alumni Association

of the Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah Aceh (IKAFHUMA) with wills

give darma devotion to embody the values ukhwah- silaturrahmi among fellow

alumni, community college alma mater and the community in general.

Sense of responsibility and love of alma mater of the alumni of the

Faculty of Law UNMUHA establish an alumni organization that is, kinship,

independent, and professionals with the name of the Alumni Association of the

Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah Aceh, Aceh IKAFHUMA

abbreviated.

DAILY Board IKAFHUMA Bakti period 2010 - 2014 has succeeded in perfecting the

Statutes as well as making the Statutes and Bylaws IKAFHUMA made to meet the

demands of the changing times of renewal and in accordance with the Faculty of

Law Alumni Council decision UNMUHA.
