On exactly solvable 4D quantum gravities. (English, Russian, Moldavian summaries)
Izv. Akad. Nauk Respub. Moldova Fiz. Tekhn. 1994, no. 3, 53–58, 141.
The notion of “nearly autoparallel maps” is introduced for four-dimensional smooth space-time
manifolds with an affine connection Γa bc and its properties are studied. Given an autoparallel
vector field ua (i.e. such that ub ∇b ua ∼ ua ), the authors define a nearly autoparallel map as a
deformation of an affine connection Γa bc −→ Γa bc = Γa bc + P a bc where the defect tensor satisfies
the equation (∇c P d ab + P d ka P k bc )ua ub uc = aud + bP d ab ua ub with the coefficients a, b being
the functions of space-time coordinates and ua . Classification of such maps is suggested which
includes four classes distinguished by the algebraic structure of P a bc and the form of the functions
a, b. The authors propose to use these maps for constructing the exact solutions of the vacuum
Einstein equations from a gravitational field, represented by the connection Γa bc defined originally
on a two-dimensional submanifold. Although the consideration is purely classical, the authors
claim that this approach is extendable to the quantum theory of gravity.
