Statement of the Problem

This study determined the level of principal management practices and the

teaching practices of the secondary school teachers as basis for faculty development

program.

This study sought to answer the following questions.

1. What is the profile of the principal and teacher respondents in terms of :

a. Age;

b. Gender;

c. Civil Status;

d. Highest Educational Attainment;

e. Position/ Ranks;

f. Length of Service; and

g. Length of Service as Principal?

2. What is the level of the principal management practices as perceived by

themselves and teacher respondents in the following areas:

a. Vision Articulation;

b. Administration;

c. Goals Realization;

d. Intellectual Stimulation; and


e. Supervision?

3. What is the level of teaching practices of the teachers as assessed by

themselves and their school heads in the following areas:

a. Mastery and Subject matter;

b. Teaching skills;

c. Classroom management; and

d. Evaluation skills?

4. What is the performance of the teacher respondents during School Year 2016

– 2017?

5. Is there a significant relationship between the principal management practices

and the level of teaching practices as assessed by the respondents?

6. Is there a significant relationship between the teachers overall teaching

practices and their performance?
