LESSON PLAN COMPREHENSION APPROACH / TPR

Teaching Points

1. Vocabulary

Noun : Plane, car, teddy, doll.

Verb : Fly, drive, hug, kiss.

Adverb :-

2. Structure

Imperative sentence

Formula : imperative verb + object

- Fly your plane

- Drive your car

- Hug your teddy

- Kiss your doll

3. Objectives

- Students will be able to understand the vocabulary presented.

- Students will be able to demonstrate understanding by responding to single commands

and

sequences of commands.

- Students will be able to give commands to their peers and respond to those commands.

- Students will have fun during the lesson.


Lesson Steps in Sequence :

1. The teacher opens class as a beginning of meeting

2. The teacher attracts the students’ attention to make them have big spirit in learning.

3. The teacher prepares 4 pictures related to material that they will learn.

4. The teacher puts one by one of picture on the floor, for the first the teacher puts a picture

of plane and he says “plane” twice. And then for the second the teacher puts a picture of

car and he says “car” twice. The third the teacher puts a picture of teddy and he says

“teddy” twice. And then for then last picture the teacher puts a picture of doll and he says

“doll” twice. And the teacher will repeat all of the keywords from those pictures.

5. The teacher asks students to stand up.

6. The teacher demonstrates about the sentences from keywords in previous part. Like :

Fly your plane, drive your car, hug your teddy, and kiss your doll. The teacher should do

action story based on the sentences of keywords. Students must follow and imitate

teacher’s action story.

7. The teacher sits down and asks the students to stand up in their previous position.

8. The teacher asks students to do the action story by themselves, in this time the teacher

only mention the sentences without demonstrate the action and also teacher can mention

the sentences randomly.

9. The teacher gives appreciate from students’ work.

10. The teacher gives students a worksheet which containing some picture relates to their

material before, in this time students will listen statements from CD and they will choose

which picture that is suitable to the speaker’s sentences, they should make correct

answer.
11. The teacher assesses students’ work one by one in order to check their understanding

about the material in their previous learning. If students who are able to answer correctly,

they will get reward. And for those who are not able to answer well the taacher will give

them mitivation and suggestion to make them have good spirit and value in learning.

12. The teacher closes the class in closing section.
