Letter
of
Recommendation
for
Alana
Millard
I
have
had
the
pleasure
of
working
with
Alana
at
École
Percy
Pegler
School
during
the
spring
of
2018
while
she
fulfilled
her
practicum
requirements.
It
pleases
me
to
have
the
opportunity
to
write
a
letter
of
recommendation
for
Alana.
Alana
has
had
an
outstanding
placement
here
at
École
Percy
Pegler
School
in
her
PSIII
round
teaching
Grade
2.
For
a
beginning
teacher,
Alana
has
already
mastered
the
understanding
of
the
need
to
be
adaptable
and
flexible
and
responds
well
to
situational
dynamics
as
they
arise.
Optimizing
student
engagement
is
a
focal
point
in
Alana’s
instructional
planning
and
she
works
hard
to
ensure
significant
student
involvement
occurs
through
variety
of
compelling
learning
activities.
It
must
certainly
be
noted
that
Alana
makes
a
great
effort
to
include
all
students’
abilities
and
ensures
that
learning
styles
are
respected.
In
fact,
it
is
important
to
note
that
Alana’s
homeroom
placement
has
had
a
very
diverse
range
of
learning
and
behavioral
needs!
Alana
welcomes
new
teaching
strategies
and
works
hard
to
implement
suggestions.
She
takes
advantage
of
the
whole
staff
as
a
resource
for
guidance,
and
especially
of
the
congenial
and
collegial
partnership
with
her
intern
teacher,
Tracey
MacNeil.
She
is
willing
to
take
risks
and
will
not
hesitate
to
try
new
approaches
to
teaching
and
learning.
She
has
been
masterful
in
her
work
to
integrate
a
variety
of
disciplines
in
her
instruction.
Alana
has
become
increasingly
confident
in
her
teaching
and
has
a
willing
and
an
admirable
desire
to
be
reflective
about
her
practice.
Alana’s
concern
for
the
well
being
of
students
is
readily
evident.
Relationships,
open
communication
and
the
maintenance
of
a
positive
learning
environment
are
certainly
Alana’s
strength.
She
has
forged
excellent
relationships
with
her
students
based
on
kindness,
understanding
and
mutual
respect.
She
has
in
a
short
time
been
able
to
establish
an
excellent
rapport
with
her
students
and
shows
genuine
interest
in
their
school
and
out
of
school
experiences.
Staff
has
also
enjoyed
getting
to
know
Alana
as
she
has
become
an
integral
part
of
our
school
community!
Alana
will
be
missed
here
at
École
Percy
Pegler
School
as
she
presented
herself
in
an
exemplary
professional
manner
in
all
aspects
of
teaching.
I
look
forward
to
having
Alana
join
the
teaching
profession
and
would
be
very
happy
to
recommend
her
to
any
teaching
staff.
