I. Education
1. Following the conclusion of HEA 650 (Applied Multiple Regression), continued to collaborate with
my supervisor on continuing this research for the purposes of presentation
a. Conducted a conditional moderated mediation analysis with a longitudinal sample of
African American adolescents
b. Was accepted to present a poster at the American Public Health Association 2017
Conference: “Sexual Activity in African American Adolescents: An Example of a
Conditional Moderated Mediation Analysis”
2. Currently conducting a latent class analysis with a sample of African American adolescents on their
parental relationships
3. Responsible for conducting literature reviews, secondary data analysis in SPSS and MPLUS, and the
writing of results and discussion with hopes of paper submission by December 2017

Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (Add Health)
a. Leading a project related to immigrant status, acculturation, allostatic load, trajectories of risk
(sexual and substance use related), and long-term health outcomes, guided by the Minority Stress

5. Aided in the recruitment of African American parents and boys for focus groups pertaining to sexual
health
1. A summer camp that employs a mentoring model in which teenage mothers are paired with
college students to explore options in higher education, employment, and personal development
2. Aided in the development of new programming for the 2016 summer camp.
3. Assisted in recruiting financial sponsors as well as teenage mothers into the program
1. Ran classroom and individual counseling (using the BASICS model) for undergraduate students
who were convicted of their 1st and 2nd drinking ticket, or who had a marijuana conviction
1. Led classroom tutorials on Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, Endnote, Research Databases,
SPSS, and making research posters
2. Coordinated and implemented activities for weeklong camp for under-privileged middle and high
school participants
3. Participated as a member of the camp staff team, delivered and supervised evening programs,
special events, overnights, and other camp activities and functions
1. Assisted nine School of Nursing Faculty in data entry and data analysis
2. Taught School of Nursing Undergraduate and Graduate Students data entry and analysis for their
Honors projects or Master’s Degree projects
3. Responsible for helping organize School of Nursing community events (Youth Health Summit)

1. Selected as a Graduate Student Mentor for incoming Public Health Education graduate students
