Individual Career Plan - Jasmin C.

1. Career Objective: Nurse Practitioner

2. Assets: Education is my greatest value; I truly believe that without education and morals,
one will not have the ability to become successful. After taking AP British Literature and
American Literature, I can agree that my writing has improved throughout my high
school career making it one of my strongest skill, along with communication skills that
have been developed through my AP Capstone course and organizations I have been
involved in. I also have the ability to learn any new content and performing the physical
labor if needed. Anything related to hospitals, healthcare, and business catch my interest,
along with any non-fiction books that I tend to read for leisure.

3. College: I have applied to Young Harris College and proudly got accepted with a $15,000
scholarship. I also got into Augusta University and am excited to be offered the
opportunity to become a “Jag” ! I have also been accepted into the University of North
Georgia in which becoming a Nighthawk could begin to open doors to future success. I
am planning on also applying to Colorado Mesa University after they specifically reached
out to me due to their partnership with the Horatio Association Scholarship I obtained, in
which they offer me benefits such as reduced out-of-state tuition along with other
scholarship opportunities.

4. I have taken two SAT exams required to be considered for admission in any
College/University and am hoping to take the ACT to strive for better scores.

5. Education level to achieve career objective: The education I will need to become a Nurse
Practitioner will be a Masters degree, or if I plan to become a General Physician I will
need a Doctorate/PhD degree.

6. Training/ Certifications: There are continued training and credits to be earned. For
instance, nurses must have a certain amount of working hours in order to not have a
certification. The only certifications that are needed is a certification of every 2 years,
which are: Adult Cardiac Certification and a medicine certification.

7. Related careers: If I choose to not become a doctor, my plan is to stick with a nurse
practitioner. However, if along the way I realize the nursing career is not for me, my
interest also lies in business, therefore becoming an accountant will be my other options.
