PERF OR MANCE EVALUATION OF E XAMI NE ES BY PRE VIEW OF
ASS ESS ED E XAMINATI ON A NS WER SCRIP TS

The Institute is pleased to initiate a vital decision, keeping in view the ‘global practices’ and ensuring ‘transparency’ in the
examination system, of providing ‘right to information’ to examinees by allowing them not to only preview their assessed
examination answer scripts of core/ analytical papers but also to get their assessed scripts re-evaluated, if deemed
appropriate/ contending, w.e.f. Spring 2017 Examinations.
The policy has allowed the examinees to check whether the marking scheme is applied correctly or there exist a vide variation,
i.e., at least 10% of total marks secured earlier by an examinee, in marks allotment.
The modalities for applying for performance evaluation are as under:

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

1- The applications for preview of assessed examination answer scripts will be entertained only after the official declaration/
notification of examination results.
2- The facility will only be applicable to the following core/ analytical papers under Syllabus 2016:

3- Examinees, only those who will score between 35 – 49 marks, are eligible to apply for preview of their assessed scripts,
subject to matching of examinees particulars [name, father’s name, reg. no./ roll no.], signature [as available on registration
application and/ or examination application and/ or attendance sheet], by submitting the prescribed review fee of Rs.1,000/-
per course (non-refundable).
4- It is mandatory for the examinees to approach the preview campus [exam centre] with their parents/ guardian [may be other
than Institute’s office bearers] in person, subject to the prior identification through Institute’s student ID card and admit card
for the same examination/ CNIC/ passport or driving licence.
5- Examinees are also allowed to accompany their designated mentor, subject to his/ her availability by respective
ICMA Pakistan Regional Head/ Campus In-Charge and prior intimation by the Examination Department.
6- The facility for preview of assessed examination answer scripts, only with the scanned screen shots of assessed scripts and
under the supervision of Examination Department, will be arranged within the premises of the Institute [at any of the
designated exam centre], subject to the issuance of prior intimation by the Examination Department for ‘venue’ [exam
centre], ‘day/ date’, ‘time’ and ‘mentor’ within 15 days of the receipt of application for the same.
7- The examinee, where CONTENDED, after completion of preview of script, will be required to submit an amount of Rs.3,000/-
per course in addition to earlier fee as re-assessment/ re-evaluation fee within next 3 working days of the communicated
preview schedule, which will be refunded to the examinee’s payable account only, if there is a revision in his/ her
examination result [due to change of at least 10% or more variance in total marks secured in the recently announced result]
otherwise will be treated non-refundable.
8- In case of any contend, requested paper will be re-assessed/ re-checked by an independent examiner. Whereas, the
feedback on re-assessment will be communicated to the contenders in last week of 45-day period from the official date of
uploading of suggested answers/ solutions on Institute’s website.

POLICY AND PROTOCOL:

(1) The protocols of examination hall will be applicable and observed during the preview process.
(2) The Institute’s suggested answers/ solutions along with marking scheme will not be contended.
(3) The original answer scripts will not be shown or provided to the applicant as these are Institute’s property.
(4) The previewed script(s) or any of its contents, in the form of softcopy/ images/ wireless or any other medium of
transmission, will not be provided to the contender.
(5) The service is not retrospective.
(6) If the contended solution(s) is/ are found appropriate (10% or more of total secured marks; affecting examinee’s result
status from ‘Fail’ to ‘Pass’), the examinee will be issued a revised examination result for the requested paper, subject to the
approval by competent authority(ies) in forthcoming examination results only, either side in declared result.
(7) The decision of the Institute shall be considered final. No appeal will be entertained against the decision.

COST OF THE SERVICE:

Review Fee: Rs.1,000/- per course [Non-Refundable]


Re-evaluation Fee: Rs.3,000/- per course [Refundable, only in case of 10% or more variance in total marks]

VENUE FOR THE FACILITY:

Designated ICMA Pakistan Centres: Karachi | Lahore | Islamabad | Multan | Faisalabad | Hyderabad | Peshawar

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS:

The deadline for submitting applications for preview of answer scripts is 15 days after the uploading of suggested answers/
solutions on Institute’s website. However, the facility is valid till Friday, November 10, 2017 for Spring 2017 Examinations only.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING:

 Duly filled in form [Form-A] along with payment voucher must reach Examination Department, ICMA Pakistan, Head Office,
ST-18/C, Block-6, ICMAP Avenue, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, not later than deadline specified.
 A separate application [Form-B], along with prescribed fee, for re-evaluation must also reach the Examination Department on
above specified address only within next 3 working days of the communicated preview schedule for the same.
 ICMA Pakistan is not responsible for any losses incurred as a result of the operations of its preview service.
