Iam pleased to recommend Ms. Jordan Staab to you as a potential VALOR student candidate. I was one
of Ms. Staab's faculty instructors while she has been enrolled in the Baccalaureate Nursing Program at
the University of Arizona. To date, Ms. Staab has provided excellent care for her patients during her
clinical rotation and she has been a very conscientious and diligent student. She has started to integrate
theory into clinical practice at the bedside, therefore enhancing both her academic and clinical
performance.

Some of the strengths that Ms. Staab possesses are her ability to be very compassionate with patients
and the ability to apply the critical thinking knowledge. She is also able to prioritize care for the patients
she has cared thus far. She presents very professional in appearance, and has excellent written as well
as verbal communication skills. She works diligently through challenging situations and is self-directed.
Ms. Staab quickly acquires learning new skills and once mastered she is self motivated to learn more.
She fully accepts the responsibility of advocating on behalf of patients and their families. ln addition, Ms.
Staab has worked with an autistic child and also had some volunteer experiences in different medical
areas. This experience has further expanded her education and has helped define the well-rounded
person she has become.

I support Ms. Staab's application for a VALOR candidate. I believe that if she is able to pursue her
education with clinical application, she will make significant contributions to the nursing profession. She
has proven to be very mature, a team player and supportive of others. Please do not hesitate to contact
