MedPod 720i – General Information


At Weyland Corporation, the safety and well-being of our employees and crew is
our most important responsibility. Weyland Corporation is known for its expeditions to
other solar systems and planets. The voyages can take a long time and the lifespan of a
doctor may not be enough in some cases. Due to this reason, we have developed
MedPod 720i. MedPod 720i comes equipped with the most advanced technology
available in medical science. It is automated and able to perform surgical procedures.
These procedures can be done with the instructions of the patient him/herself or by the
AI implemented in MedPod 720i.

MedPod 720i – Technical Equipment/Capabilities


MedPod 720i comes equipped with Comfortable Limb Restraints, Computer
Controlled Robotic Surgical Arms, Vital Sign Sensors, a Laser Scalpel and a Liquid
Spray Anesthetic which are all installed upon an Adjustable Titanium Base.
MedPod 720i allows users treat and diagnose themselves. It can also perform
various surgical procedures with extremely precise incisions which are directed by 3D
anatomical scanning.
Some of the most widely used procedures include;
 Repairing of basic wounds
 Diagnosis
 Treatment of infections with antibiotic injections
 Cesarean section
 Appendectomy

MedPod 720i – Manual Operation Instructions


1. If the patient is not in an emergency, select the procedure or treatment you would
like to have from the console.
2. Get the patient in the MedPod 720i. Check if the vital signs are alright. If vital
signs are as expected, secure the patient with the comfortable limb restraints.
Close the capsule shaped exterior glass doors.
3. Run the initial analysis on the patient. Pinpoint the actions/procedures needed to
be taken.
4. If the patient needs to undergo a surgery, instruct MedPod 720i to spray the
liquid anesthetic to the area that needs the surgery.
5. In case of open wounds and post-surgery operations, MedPod 720i will ask to
whether use stitches or staples to close the open wound/incision. Select the
option you would like to proceed with.
6. After the procedure/treatment/diagnosis/surgery is over the comfortable limb
restraints will be loosened. The capsule shaped glass doors of the MedPod 720i
will open.
7. Get the patient out of the MedPod 720i. Help the patient in the recovery process.
8. Bring the patient back to the MedPod 720i for post recovery diagnosis and
treatment in the intervals stated at the console.

MedPod 720i – Emergency Operation Instructions


1. If the patient is in an emergency medical condition, carry the patient and place
him/her inside MedPod 720i.
2. Use the voice activation feature and say, “Emergency Procedure”.
3. With the use of the state of the art Artificial Intelligence embedded in it, MedPod
720i will automatically perform the initial diagnosis, will plot out the best options
to treat/operate the patient and carry them out.
4. Once the treatment/operation/procedure is over, MedPod 720i will get in to the
most suitable position to get the patient out of it.
5. Get the patient out of the MedPod 720i. Help the patient in the recovery process.
6. Bring the patient back to the MedPod 720i for post recovery diagnosis and
treatment in the intervals stated at the console.
