Dear Parents,

Catholic schools are a vital part of the teaching

mission of the Church…”We must respond to
challenging times with faith, vision and the will to
succeed because the Catholic School’s mission is
vital to the future of our young people, our nation,
and most especially our Church.”

Each time I read this mission of the Church, I am

reminded of its very powerful message and what
makes our school different from so many other
schools in our area.

Our students are being formed in their faith by

studying Scripture, preparing for and participating in
the sacraments, and learning how Jesus calls them to
become His disciples, our future Catholic leaders. Our
students learn the importance of prayer by attending Saints Scramble and Saints Social
mass and prayer services along with praying daily for The Saints Scramble Golf Fundraiser is fast
each other, our community, and our world. Finally, approaching and will be held on Saturday, May
our students are learning to live their faith by sharing 5th at the Prairie du Chien Country Club. There
the gifts that God has given them with others and are two divisions for your consideration.

As you near your decision of school choice, I thank
you for entrusting your children to us and for the
sacrifices you make each day to send your child(ren)
to Prairie Catholic School. I encourage you to
continue to support our work as we advance our
mission to provide a transformative education
steeped in academics and faith to our deserving
students. Please do not hesitate to give me a call or
stop in and visit. I truly want to discuss with you any
ideas you may have, questions or concerns. There is
no greater investment for forming our future Catholic
leaders and saints than a Catholic education!

The Competitive Division is an 18 hole four
person scramble with a shotgun start at 9:00am.
The cost is $65 for non CC member and $40 for
a member. The entry fee includes golf, cart,
door prizes, flag events, driver raffle and Putt for
a Car contest.
The Social Division is a 9 hole scramble with
teams of 1, 2, 3 or 4 persons and it will start at
11:15am. The cost is $50 for a non CC member,
$35 for a member and $25 for a student. The
entry fee includes golf, cart, door prizes, flag
events, driver raffle and Putt for a Car contest.

Please consider forming a team to play or even

sponsoring a hole with a sign. This event is
perfect for the first time golfer! Registration forms
are available on-line or in the school office.
Student Council bake sale – On Friday, April
27th the student council will be having the last
bake sale for this year. All money raised goes to
supporting Sarah.
Washington DC Meetings – The rescheduled
meetings will be on April 25th. Amy Hameister
from Legacy Tours will be here. She will be
meeting with parents of current 6th & 7th
graders regarding possibility for their trips. That
meeting will begin at 5:15pm. She will then host
the “Pack it up Meeting” for all 8th graders and
parents. This is a mandatory meeting for
anyone going on the trip. (Students & Parents)
We will meet at 6:30pm in the school cafeteria.
This is the final meeting before the trip, with a
lot of important information!
Little Miss Squirt Contest – Crawford County
Dairy Promoters are accepting application for
the annual Little Miss Squirt Contest. To qualify
for this contest you must live on a dairy farm in
Crawford County, or have a family member
directly associated with a dairy operation in
Crawford County, and be 8-10 years old by
May 1, 2018. Applications are available in the
school office. Application deadline is May 12,
2018.
Tech Trek – Coming home today in the brown
envelope is a flyer regarding Exploring
Technical Careers offered by Southwest
Wisconsin Technical College. The camps will be
held this summer. This is for students in 6th - 8th
grades.
