Village Pirava and the Ogranic production

Valandovo is known as the city of pomegranate, which means in the larger plantations we can found
the pomegranate as the most famous fruit. Nearly in every home there are at least one tree of the
fruit queen. The pomegranate is a deciduous fruit bush or tree 5 to 8 meters high and it is one of the
oldest fruits known to man. She is respected as a symbol of health, fertility, and eternal life. It has a
beneficial effect on the cardiovascular, nervous system and bones. Abundant are B5 vitamin,
potassium . Also, 100 grams of pomegranate contains 16 percent of the recommended dose of vitamin
c. We can make juice from the pomegranate, and it is also used as an addition to some wines. Besides
the pomegranate there is also the other popular fruit Japanese apple. This fruit abounds with vitamins
A and C, iron minerals and salts. Because of these properties, large quantities have been exported
from Valandovo to Chernobyl. In addition to these properties, this fruit contains copper, potassium
which have positive effect in Alzheimer's patients as well as in the rest of the people.

The benefits of this valley allow us to enjoy the consumption of the beautiful fruits of nature as
well as contribute to being recognizable, not only in our country but also in the world. The production
and sales increase the citizens' issues and influence in the rural and economic development of the
Municipality, therefore it is very important for us to introduce the citizens with the Organic
production as a trend in the world and generally as a way of life. Every day, the media transfer to
increase such production, and also subsidize it. The rising need for food has led to the development
of agriculture, relying on the application of chemical resources and mechanization. We have over-
measured, unprofessional use of chemical inputs (fertilizers and plant protection products) in order to
achieve higher profits and yields that cause a decrease in the quality and fertility of the land. In
addition, the quality and safety of food for human and animal health is often overlooked, as well as
the basic principles for the protection of the ecosystem and the agroecosystem.

The village of Pirav a is located in Gevgelija - Valandovo valley, which extends in the southeastern
part of the Republic of Macedonia. It extends along the river Vardar and covers a total area of 1000
km square, and extends at an altitude of 46 to 2100 m. It is one of the warmest places in the Republic
of Macedonia that is distinguished by the changed Mediterranean climate with a mean annual
temperature of 14.2 degrees. Pirava belongs to the Municipality of Valandovo, 4 km from the city of
Valandovo and is located in the central part of the municipality. According to the relief, the
municipality of Valandovo is divided into two parts: hilly-mountain and flatland. The hilly
mountainous area covers 208 km square and the plain is 123 km square. The village Pirava belongs to
the plain part and is located at 110 meters above sea level. The village has farmland with an area of
1,002 hectares, pastures cover 553 hectares and forests cover 313 hectares. The village of Pirava has
1844 inhabitants. The legend of Pirava is very interesting which is from ancient time, where the
name of the village is given , which mean "a feast on clean air".
The population of Pirava is mostly concerned with agriculture, more precisely, we are known as an
agricultural region. In this region, the grapevine is most often cultivated, but given the location the
fertile soil and favorable climate, there are many plants (fruits and vegetables). Besides the cultures
in the fields and on the hills around Pirava may be encountered and huge number of herbs which we
can make tea and medicinal herbs that serve in medicine. From the fruit the most famous are
Japanese apple, pomegranate, peach, pear, plum, fig and walnut , while tomatoes, peppers, beans,
green peppers and cucumbers from the vegetables. Of course, there are also cereal crops (grain, corn,
wheat) that serve for food for the cattle that are grown in most households in Pirava, and the most of
which are: cows, cattle and sheep, from which are produced milk and meat.

For this purpose, we decided to introduce the local population with the production of organic food
and positive impact on health and in general to nature, avoiding pollution of the environment. Organic
farming is oriented towards the future not only from the aspect of environmental protection and
promotion of human health, but also provides economic priority. Healthy soil, non-chemical seeds,
clean water irrigation, and the ban on the use of any chemical spraying agents are just some of the
topics we will pay attention to, we and our associates who unselfishly accepted the cooperation and
offered us help to achieve our goal. It is about a professor ............ who is producer of organic
production from the Republic of Bulgaria, which has a company with employees and a producer from
Spain, Tenerife.
