BREAST MALIGNANCY PROFILE BASED ON AGE AND BLOOD TYPE

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia estimated there are 100 new cancer patients who
increase for every 100,000 population per year, due to several risk factors such as
menarche age, hormonal contraceptive use, marital status, history of
breastfeeding, age of menopause, family history. This study looked at patient
profiles of age and blood type.

Objectives: The aims of this study to see the profile of patient data based on age
and blood type with breast malignancy in Dr.Kariadi Hospital.

Methods: Descriptive retrospective, taking data by anamnesa and perform blood

type examination on 80 samples of breast cancer patients at all stages. Data are
grouped by age <35 years old, 35-50 years old and > 50 years old. The blood
group examination data are grouped A, B, AB and O.

Results: This study involved 80 breast cancer patients at all stages. From the
research sample got the highest age in 35 - 50 years old 51 people (63,75%), >50
years old 24 people (30%) and <35 years old 5 people (6.25%). In blood type
examination, blood type B 31 people (37,5%), blood group A 23 people (28,75%),
blood group O 19 person (23,75%) and AB group 8 people (10%).

Conclusion: In this study age most in 35-50 years old and B on blood type.
