What were the causes of World War 1

World War 1 (WW1) started on June,1914 the reason why it started is because of an
assassination on Archduke Franz Ferdinand and it was by a serbian terrorist group and
because of Militarism-Imperialism-Alliances-Nationalism (M-I-A-N) and the countries
that are dealt with this is russia,france,great britain and germany,italy.

One of the reasons WW1 was started was militarism because on document 1 it was a
graph about and it shows the amount of money that was spent on weapons and it
increase and it was showing how wealthy great britain was they spent 3.54 on each
person. because britain was spending so much on armaments other countries thought
britain was growing too strong. And this prove my thesis is right because it shows how
much they spent on their people.on document 6 it was a letter from the head of the
serbian military that talks about how his country can only do it by war and the war must
bring freedom in the document he was trying to show and tell how the war between
serbia and austria is guaranteed. And this prove my thesis is right because it talks about
how they are going to war and the things that should happen.

Another reason why WW1 started was because imperialism because on document 3 it's
a graph that shows the colonial empires in 1913 britain had the most area and
population with 33,000,000 area and 400,000,000 population and spain had the least
with 250,00 and with 700,000 population. And this prove my thesis is right because it
will cause the colonies to fight the mother country and mother country fighting other
mother countries. and on document 5 it talks about how the britannia rule, in the
document it says rule britannia rule the waves britons never will be slaves. and it shows
imperialism because it is leaders favors and psych power. And this prove my thesis is
right because it shows how britain is included in imperialism because rule the waves
means the islands surrounded by water.

Another reason why WW1 started was because alliance because on document 4 it talks
about the countries making alliances in the document it says france and russia being
animated by an equal have agreed upon the following provisions. in the document they
are trying to show how we're in a alliance and if one attack all attack and how it will be a
defensive war. And this prove my thesis is right because it tell you how they fight for
each other and that's what a alliance is made for. on document 9 it talks about how
franco-russian alliance was created and it is held together by financial and political and
strategic ties. And this prove my thesis is right because it is a result of strategic and
political pressures on both sides.
Another reason why WW1 started was because nationalism because on document6 it
talks about the head of the serbian military and his nation “this war must bring about the
eternal freedom of serbia (his country).and shows that they want freedom after the
war.And this prove my thesis is right because he is fighting for his country nation and
how he think his whole race must stand together.and document 5 it talks about the
britain ruling the waves and how the britain is formed out of heavens”britain first at
heaven's command a rose from out the azure main And this prove my thesis is right
because it talks about how they believe how they are formed out of heavens because of
how wealthy they were.
