LESSON PLAN LESSON: Numbers from 1-10

SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING

Students will be able to:

 Understand the numbers from 1-10.


 The kids will learn how to count.

Link to prior learning: Students will need to be familiar with the following mathematical concepts:

1- Adding. 2- count the numbers.

21st Century Skills: Students will be able to enhance the following skills; 1- the kids will organize the
number.

Key vocabulary: number 10

Common misconceptions for learners: Ways of identifying and addressing these misconceptions:

 They don’t organize the biggest  Teach the kids about these number and put for them a song that
numbers like 8,9,10. related to big numbers.
 They can’t count from 1-10.  The teacher should teach them how to count the numbers and put
a video that related to the numbers.

Resources/equipment needed: Whiteboards, Whiteboard markers, doll.

AL: Differentiation activities (Stretch): in this group, the teacher will work with
AL children the activity is about that there are a line from number 1-20 and
the kids will put a clip on the number 10.

OL: Differentiation activities (Support): in this group, the teacher will work with
OL children the activity is a paper that has 2 groups and the kids can create a
number that equals 10. For example, they put a cover of the bottle in the two
groups and it must be equal 10 like the first group they put 6 and the second
group put 4.
