 Created lesson plans to meet the 2014 National Music Standards recently adopted by the Dubuque
Community School District.
 Independently created units and accompanying materials for all grade levels and implemented lesson
plans fully.
 Modified lessons plans as needed for hearing impaired students and other students with physical
limitations.
 Directed a performance of second graders called The Little Piggy Opera.
 Created and taught a Civil Rights Movement unit to fourth grade during Black History Month.
 Incorporated instruments into every grade level, using various instruments to allow self-expression from
the students and to reinforce musical ideas being taught.

Historical Methods and a student’s overall contributions in the classroom including discussion, leadership
and presentations evaluated when selecting a winner.

 Selected from among Loras’ graduating History majors. Chosen for the most outstanding academic
achievement, contribution to learning in the classroom, and service to Loras College. Work completed
in Research Seminar and leadership offered to the learning community also evaluated.

 Conducted group lessons of 10-15 students between the ages of 5 and 11. Taught the foundations of tennis

 Summer intern for the historical Pioneer Village. Worked on various projects to improve signs and tour

 Led after school tennis program for fourth and fifth grades. Created drills that taught students the basic
skills of volleyball and tennis. Coached volleyball games, and led a tennis “fun day” that encouraged

String Quartet, Fall 2016 – Spring 2018
 Founding member of the Loras College String Quartet. Helped to lead rehearsals and chose repertoire.
Performed for Cardinal Timothy Dolan, at Fr. Aloysius Schmidt’s funeral mass, Legacy Symposium, and
Loras music concerts.

Wind Ensemble, Fall 2014 – Fall 2017

 Played violin with the Loras Wind Ensemble my freshman and sophomore year. Junior year played
percussion, and senior year played flute.

Praise and Worship Team, Spring 2016 – Spring 2018

 Played violin with the Praise and Worship Team which performed at monthly adoration services,
ecumenical prayer services, and played monthly at Sunday mass.
