HIGH SECURITY SYSTEM FOR FOUR WHEELER

M. Sai Chaitanya, ESD, M.Tech Student School of Engineering and Technology,
Jain University, Bangalore, India
Abstract— This is an “Incremental Innovation” because, to the existing
technology we have included additional features like sending an alert message to
the owner if, the vehicles is accessed by an unauthorized person.

It gets started by any means (internal connections). The vehicle is shifted from its
place. If any drunken person try to access. The main idea of our project is to help
the cars to prevent the increase in regular theft of tractors from the farm. Here we
are providing three methods of security for the car and also in each method of
there will be an alertness that is sent to the car owner through GSM technology.

Biometric can be seen as a solution to a lot of user identification and security

problems in today’s network. It refers to automatic recognition of an individual
based on their behavioral. Fingerprint identification is one such method in
biometric. Thermal sensors and vibration sensors are used for security purpose.

The purpose of using MEMS sensor is that elements present in it have some sort
of mechanical functionality whether the objects can move or not. Also a Smart
Phone app is developed for monitoring the car movement. Keywords—

systems are computer systems that are part of larger systems and they perform
some of the requirements of these systems.

Some examples of such systems are auto mobile control systems, industrial
processes control systems, mobile phones, or small sensor controllers. Embedded
systems cover a large range of computer systems from ultra small computer-
based devices to large systems monitoring and controlling complex processes.
The overwhelming number of computer systems belongs to embedded systems:
99% of all computing units belong to embedded systems today.

Most of such embedded systems are also characterized as real time systems,
which mean that the real-time properties such as response time, worse case
execution time, etc., are important design concerns. These systems usually must
meet stringent specifications for safety, reliability, availability and other attributes
of dependability. Due to small size and requirements for mobility, but also
extremely low production costs these systems require small and controlled
resource consumption, and have limited hardware capacity .

The increased complexity of embedded real-time systems leads to increasing

demands with respect to requirements engineering, high-level design, early error
detection, productivity, integration, verification and maintenance, which increases
the importance of an efficient management of life-cycle properties such as
maintainability, portability, and adaptability.

Not least in contributing to the success of the vehicle has been the continuous
string of innovations which have found their way into vehicles. Even as far back as
the 1970s, the aim was to make use of new technologies to help in the
development of safe, clean and economical cars. The pursuit of economic
efficiency and cleanliness was closely linked to other customer benefits such as
driving pleasure.

This was characterized by the European diesel boom, upon which Bosch had such
a considerable influence. At the same time, the development of the gasoline
engine with gasoline direct injection, which would reduce fuel consumption by
comparison with intake-manifold injection, experienced further advancements.
An improvement in driving safety was achieved with electronic brake-control
systems.

In 1978, the antilock brake system (ABS) was introduced and underwent continual
development to such an extent that it is now fitted as standard on every vehicle
in Europe. It was along this same line of development that the electronic stability
program (ESP), in which ABS is integrated, would debut in 1995. The latest
developments also take comfort into account.

These include the hill hold control (HHC) function, for example, which makes it
easier to pull away on uphill gradients. An embedded system is a combination of
software and hardware to perform a dedicated task. Some of the main devices
used in embedded products are Microprocessors and Microcontrollers.

Microprocessors are commonly referred to as general purpose processors as they

simply accept the inputs, process it and give the output. In contrast, a
microcontroller not only accepts the data as inputs but also manipulates it,
interfaces the data with various devices, controls the data and thus finally gives
the result. Block Diagram / III.

Components Required: ??ARM7 Micro Controller (CORTEXM3) : It is the best

controller suited for learners and project purposes as it has Mother Board and
Daughter Board. No external power supply is required as it takes power from the
USB itself. It has a real time clock with battery holder, bidirectional buffer, On/Off
switch with power indication.
??Alcohol Sensor - MQ3: This alcohol sensor is suitable for detecting alcohol
concentration on your breath, just like your common breathalyzer. It has a high
sensitivity and fast response time. Sensor provides an analog resistive output
based on alcohol concentration. The drive circuit is very simple, all it needs is one
resistor. A simple interface could be a 0-3.3V ADC.

??GSM-Module ( SIM300 ) : It is a specialized type of modem which accepts a SIM

card and operates over a subscription to a mobile operator, just like a mobile
phone. It uses an excellent quality GSM Modem SIM300 which comprises of an
on board SMA connector with a 3db antenna. It is highly compatible, flexible and
is small in size. This module has an embedded powerful TCP/IP protocol stack.

??Finger Print Module ( R305) : It is combined with TTL UART interface for direct
connections to microcontroller UART or to PC through MAX232/ USB-Serial
adapter. The user can store the fingerprint data in the module and can configure
it in 1:1 or 1: N mode for identifying the person. This module can directly
interface with 3V or 5V microcontroller.

Also a level converter is required for interfacing with PC serial port ??Thermal
Sensor ( LM35 ) : It is an integrated circuit sensor that can be used to measure
temperature with an electrical output proportional to the temperature (in
degrees Celsius). The LM35 generates a higher output voltage than the
thermocouples and may not require that the output voltage that can be
amplified.

It possesses a low self heating capacity. ??Vibration Sensor : It is used for wide
range of vibration detection and no direct limitation is present. It is low loss,
sensitivity adjustment can be made. It is mainly applied in security and electronic
lock. ??MEMS Sensor (GX-61ADXL335) : It is a small, thin, low power, complete 3
axis accelerometer with signal conditioned voltage outputs.

The product measure acceleration within a minimum full-scale range of +/- 3g. It
can measure the static acceleration of gravity in tilt sensing applications, as well
as dynamic acceleration resulting from motion, shock or vibration. IV.

VIBRATION SENSORS ( 801S ) : / ??Vibration sensors can measure and analyze
displacement, linear velocity, and acceleration.

A transducer, such as that incorporating a laser or a piezoelectric crystal, which

converts vibrations into an electrical equivalent such as a voltage. It is also called
vibration transducer, or vibration pickup. The two basic piezoelectric materials
used in vibration sensors today are synthetic piezoelectric ceramics and quartz.

In a piezoelectric sensor or accelerometer, the sensing element is a crystal that

emits a charge when subjected to compression. The crystal is bonded to a mass
so that when it is subjected to a “g” force, the mass compresses the crystal and a
signal is emitted. The signal value is relative to the force imposed. It is used for
wide range of vibration detection and no direct limitation is present.

It is low loss, sensitivity adjustment can be made. It is mainly applied in security

and electronic lock. ??FINGERPRINT SENSORS ( R305 ) : / Features: Low power

61ADXL335 ): / Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, or MEMS, is a technology that
in its most general form can be defined as miniaturized mechanical and electro-
mechanical elements (i.e.,

devices and structures) that are made using the techniques of micro fabrication
The basic principle of operation behind the MEMS accelerometer is the
displacement of a small proof mass etched into the silicon surface of the
integrated circuit and suspended by small beams. Consistent with Newton's
second law of motion (F = ma), as an acceleration is applied to the device, a force
develops which displaces the mass. V.
