*Determined Individuals Visiting Alternative Solutions
Alicia attended Queensborough Community College, she earned her certificate for
Medical Office Assisting. As this satisfied some of her desire to understand health; after
a series of personal events concerning eating certain foods, she later began to do much
research on her own and is now a certified weight-loss consultant and speaking on health
and nutrition in America. Alicia willnow be able to reach the nations. Her goal is to
travel world wide to share with people of all ages that you don’t have to be over-weight
or sick any longer.
At the age of 27, she Married David Fieldings who they both with their five lovely
children now reside in Randallstown, Maryland.
Alicia has always been as a child, and now an adult, one who didn’t take a statement at
face value, but always wanted to know why ! If you told her not to talk while eating at
the table, she wanted to know why. These are the things you will learn with her teaching:

Preface
Greetings to all those that have found an interest in DIVAS. In this handbook I want to share
with you some information that may not be apart of the main stream. They tell me that brain
washing is changing the way a person thinks and acting upon what they have been taught.
Well, I don’t want to brain wash you but I do want to change the way you think and encourage
you to act upon what you’ve learn. I want to also change the way you see food and those
involved in our food production.
The word diet means a prescribed selection of foods or what is included in what you eat from
day do day for your life. On occasion you may enjoy some ice cream or a chocolate bar; but
that’s not to make us feel as though we’ve cheated that’s just part of our overall diet. What I
encourage is an overall lifestyle change; and why temporary diets don’t last. What you’ll learn
is how to balance what you eat and how to supplement. We will understand that we must take
our health into our hands because it is our bodies and not our physician’s body. DIVAS will
show you how to be in control of your weight and health.
We will look at some supplements and why supplementation is important. I give you many
things to avoid but I will give the reasons why you shouldn’t eat certain things. Remember you
are what you think you are. From me to you, you are fabulous right were you are; and on this
journey there will be a lot o f myths to dispel and a lot of temptations to pass up. But you can
do through Christ who strengthens you.
In the following pages we will discover some of the many foods and food additives to avoid.
In the Holy scriptures it reads “my people perish for a lack of knowledge” there are many
things we miss out on or are effected by just because we don’t know. This is also called
ignorance. We want lay it out plainly for you so that you no longer will be ignorant.

Presents
“The Seven Day Challenge”
The seven day challenge is basically allowing your body to rest from a lot of foods that aren’t good for us and actually cause more harm than
we could ever imagine. I used 7 days because it’s simply sounds better than 30 or 40 days. We can accept something quicker if it’s not going
to take forever; and we will be more willing to listen to the rest of the program. There are different theories on how long it takes to create a
habit and how long it takes to break a habit. I have heard 21 days; I have heard even more than that. I believe a habit can be broken in just one week.
If you begin to feel better and lose some weight believe me you will not want to go back. And that’s what we want to do starting today. Make
the commitment not to go back. Are you Ready !!!
From this point on we will start out with a bunch of Don’ts but before this is all over we will replace the don’ts with a lot of things you
can do and things you can eat.
For your seven day challenge we want to eliminate or really reduce the intake of the foods we eat. Let’s examine some of these
and why we may want to limit or cut them out our diet altogether.

"Bad Cholesterol": A Myth and a Fraud!
We in the medical profession, totally oblivious of the vital roles of cholesterol in the body,
have been duped into thinking that it is this substance that causes arterial disease of the
heart and the brain. The pharmaceutical industry has capitalized on the slogan of "bad
cholesterol" and has produced toxic-to-the-body chemicals that minimally lower the level of
cholesterol in the body and in the process cause liver damage to thousands of people, some
who die as a result of using the medication.
It is surprising that none of the frequently quoted and media-popularized doctors has
reflected on the fact that cholesterol levels are measured from blood taken from the veins,
yet nowhere in medical literature is there a single case of cholesterol having caused
obstruction of the veins. Venous blood moves far slower than arterial blood and thus would
be more inclined to have cholesterol deposits if the assumption of "bad cholesterol" were
accurate. This mistake by us in the medical community, and its capitalization by the
pharmaceutical industry, has caused an ongoing fraud against society.
In truth, the so-called "bad" cholesterol is actually far more beneficial than is appreciated.
The reason for its rise in the body is because of complications caused by chronic unintentional
dehydration and insufficient urine production. Dehydration produces concentrated, acidic
blood that becomes even more dehydrated during its passage through the lungs before
reaching the heart – because of evaporation of water in the lungs during breathing. The
membranes of the blood vessels of the heart and main arteries going up to the brain become
vulnerable to the shearing pressure produced by the thicker, acidic blood. This shearing force
of toxic blood causes abrasions and minute tears in the lining of the arteries that can peel off
and cause embolisms of the brain, kidneys and other organs. To prevent the damaged blood
vessel walls from peeling, low-density (so-called "bad") cholesterol coats and covers up the
abrasions and protects the underlying tissue like a waterproof bandage until the tissue heals.
Thus, the vital, life-saving role of low-density cholesterol proves this substance is of utmost
importance in saving the lives of those who do not adequately hydrate their bodies so that
their blood can flow easily through the blood vessels without causing damage.
Cholesterol is an element from which many of our hormones are made. Vitamin D is made by
the body from cholesterol in our skin that is exposed to sunlight. Cholesterol is used in the
insulating membranes that cover our nerve systems. There is no such a thing as bad
cholesterol. If all the primary ingredients are available for its normal functions, the human
body does not engage in making things that are bad for its survival. Until now we did not
know water was a vital nutrient that the body needed at all times – and in sufficient quantity.
Water itself – not caffeinated beverages that further dehydrate – is a better cholesterol-
lowering medication than any chemical on the market. It is absolutely safe and is not harmful
to the body like the dangerous medications now used. Please share this information with
those you care for.

dehydration and the diseases it causes, other than what is posted on this site, refer to my

1. Sugar can suppress your immune system and impair your defenses
against infectious disease.
2. Sugar upsets the mineral relationships in your body: causes chromium
and copper deficiencies and interferes with absorption of calcium and
magnesium.
6. Sugar feeds cancer cells and has been connected with the development
of cancer of the breast, ovaries, prostate, rectum, pancreas, biliary tract,
lung, gallbladder and stomach.
7. Sugar can increase fasting levels of glucose and can cause reactive
hypoglycemia.
9. Sugar can cause many problems with the gastrointestinal tract including:
an acidic digestive tract, indigestion, malabsorption in patients with
functional bowel disease, increased risk of Crohn's disease, and ulcerative
colitis.
12. Sugar can cause your saliva to become acidic, tooth decay, and
periodontal disease.
15. Sugar greatly assists the uncontrolled growth of Candida Albicans (yeast
infections)
12
20. Sugar can elevate glucose and insulin responses in oral contraceptive
users.
21. Sugar can contribute to osteoporosis.
22. Sugar can cause a decrease in your insulin sensitivity thereby causing an
abnormally high insulin levels and eventually diabetes.
26. High sugar intake increases advanced glycation end products (AGEs)
(Sugar molecules attaching to and thereby damaging proteins in the
body).
34. Sugar can make your skin age by changing the structure of collagen.
37. High sugar intake can impair the physiological homeostasis of many
systems in your body.
40. Sugar can increase the size of your liver by making your liver cells divide
and it can increase the amount of liver fat.
41. Sugar can increase kidney size and produce pathological changes in the
kidney such as the formation of kidney stones.
48. Sugar can reduce the learning capacity, adversely affect school children's
grades and cause learning disorders.
49. Sugar can cause an increase in delta, alpha, and theta brain waves which
can alter your mind's ability to think clearly.
13
54. Sugar can lead to dizziness.
55. Diets high in sugar will increase free radicals and oxidative stress.
60. Sugar given to premature babies can affect the amount of carbon dioxide
they produce.
62. Your body changes sugar into 2 to 5 times more fat in the bloodstream
than it does starch.
63. The rapid absorption of sugar promotes excessive food intake in obese
subjects.
64. Sugar can worsen the symptoms of children with attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
66. Sugar can slow down the ability of your adrenal glands to function.
68. I.V.s (intravenous feedings) of sugar water can cut off oxygen to your
brain.
74. In juvenile rehabilitation camps, when children were put on a low sugar
diet, there was a 44 percent drop in antisocial behavior.

3. Informed Choice.
I'm not saying that everyone should stop drinking coffee, tea and soft drinks. Rather
I believe that people should make informed choices, and until this book was
published, that was impossible to do. The book provides an easy quiz to enable the
reader to determine, first of all, how much caffeine they are consuming in a day.
Usually people are shocked. Next, the book provides a clear and easy way to
evaluate how that quantity of caffeine may be harming you. And third, the book
provides an easy and painless program for reducing or eliminating your intake of
caffeine.
22
normally consumed can reduce cerebral flow by as much as 30%. That means less
oxygen to the brain and reduced memory and cognition.
8. Women's Health.
Caffeine is far more damaging to women, and Caffeine Blues contains an entire
chapter devoted to women's health issues. It Highlights the effects of caffeine on
bone mass and fracture risk, heart disease, anxiety and panic attack, menopause,
PMS, anemia, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, depression, fertility and conception
disorders and complications of pregnancy and childbirth.
9. Children's Health.
Increasingly, children are becoming the primary target market for the caffeine
industry. The strategy? Addict them at an early age in order to gain life-long
customs. Caffeine Blues uncovers the darker side of this industry, as it markets
products with ever-increasing amounts of caffeine in ever-increasing serving sizes. It
explains how soft-drink companies ignored congress, health departments and
medical associations and went directly for the promised land of market share: the
schools. Today, in direct defiance of USDA guidelines, soft drink machines line the
halls, cafeterias and walkways of schools from coast to coast. It is a matter of great
urgency, and the health and welfare of an entire generation is at stake.
10. Ecology: pesticides, rain forest destruction and land use issues.
Coffee is the largest agricultural commodity in the world. More coffee is grown and
traded than wheat rice, corn or livestock. More than fruit, vegetables or any staple of
the diet, COFFEE is number one. In fact, it's the third leading commodity after
petroleum and strategic metals. More than automobiles, steel, and technology. Add
all of those together and it couldn't touch coffee. Why? Because coffee is addictive.
There's another problem. Coffee is also the most heavily sprayed of all agricultural
commodities. It is grown in regions where there are very few restrictions, regulations
or protections regarding pesticide use. The environmental impact is tremendous.
Coffee doesn't grow in Kansas, it grows in and around the rain forest. In fact, rain
forest has been destroyed to plant coffee farms.
The fact is that coffee is a terribly inefficient and incredibly labor-intensive crop.
Coffee is the seed of a cherry from a tree. Coffee cherries ripen at different times, so
they have to be picked by hand. It takes approximately 2,000 Arabica cherries to
produce just one pound of roasted coffee. Since each cherry contains two beans,
your one pound of coffee is derived from 4,000 coffee beans. The average coffee tree
only produces one to two pounds of mastered coffee per year and takes four to five
years to produce its first crop.
23
Do the math. The world demand is 6 billion kg per year. That's 13 billion pounds. If
the average tree produces one to two pounds of roasted coffee per year, this 13
billion pounds of coffee requires at least 7 billion coffee trees. The average farmer
gets about 100 trees per acre, which means that 70 million acres of the most fertile
land on this planet is devoted entirely to growing a product with no nutritional value;
one that actually has proven and significant anti-nutrient properties, that is addictive
and that contributes to a long list of disease states.
Note from Chet: In place of coffee, try pure water with a squeeze of lemon. This is
a tasty, healthy drink, either warm or cold. I have this drink several times a day.

Myth Exposed: Soy is Not a Health Food
Not too long ago, soy foods were on the fringes of Americans' grocery lists. They
were thought of as "hippie" foods or even food for those in impoverished
countries. So how, then, did soy foods grow from an $800 million industry in 1992
to a $4-billion one in 2003?
Because, after a heavy marketing campaign from the soy industry, Americans are
largely convinced that soy is the miracle food to fight everything from cancer to
heart disease to hot flashes--and a slew of other illnesses in between. Some 200
million Americans, many who may have once turned their noses up at the mere
thought of soy anything, are now eating soy in record amounts and in newly
created, highly processed forms: soymilk, soy burgers, soy energy bars, soy ice
cream, soy cereal, soy meat--you name it, there's probably soy in it.
If the health claims surrounding soy sound too good to be true, it's because they
are. This important issue is the premise behind Dr. Kaayla Daniel's
groundbreaking book, The Whole Soy Story: The Dark Side of America's Favorite
Health Food. This powerful exposé reveals the truth about the soy myths that
have infiltrated our culture. In it, you'll learn that:
Soy is not a health food
Soy is not the answer to world hunger
Soy is not a disease-preventive panacea
Soy has not even been proven safe
It's ironic that soy has become so accepted as a health food when, as Dr. Daniel
states, thousands of studies link soy to malnutrition, digestive distress, immune-
system breakdown, thyroid dysfunction, cognitive decline, reproductive disorders
and infertility--even cancer and heart disease. But by the end of Chapter 3, The
Ploy of Soy, you'll understand why the soy marketing campaign worked so well.
Reading on you'll learn all about the different types of soy, the macronutrients in
soy, the ANTInutrients in soy, heavy metals in soy, soy allergens, soy and cancer,
and soy estrogens and the way they wreak havoc on your hormones.
This latter issue is one of the most crucial and serious, as millions of Americans feed soy
formula to their infants. In The Whole Soy Story, Daniel explains how the estrogens in
soy can irreversibly harm the baby's future sexual development and reproductive health.
She exposes and discusses these important, yet little known, facts about soy that would
have any parent up in arms (if, that is, they were to read this book to find out the truth):
Soy impedes the sexual maturation of boys (p. 335)
Soy accelerates the sexual maturation of girls (p. 339)
In newborns, the hormonal effects of soy may be irreversible (p. 333)
The average daily dose of soy estrogens in soy formula (38mg) is higher than the
amounts that cause thyroid problems and endocrine disruption in adults (p. 334)
25
You'll also learn that some soy products are, in fact, good for you--but only
certain types and in limited quantities. Daniel discusses the steps a soybean
must go through before it becomes edible, and then healthy, in Chapter 5.
Some of my favorite parts in this book, aside from the extensive reference
section at the end, are the revealing testimonials included throughout. You'll read
about an avid runner who developed thyroid damage after adding more soy
products to her diet (p. 322), a 9-month-old baby girl (fed soy formula) who
showed signs of puberty (p. 348), and a natural bodybuilder whose libido
plummeted after he switched his protein intake to pure soy protein isolate (p.
367), just to name a few.
Who should read this book? Everyone who has the slightest interest in
protecting and preserving their health, but especially those who:
Buy into the myth that soy is healthy
Eat soy as their primary source of protein
Anyone who feeds soy to their infants with soy formula
If you are a prospective parent who plans to take advantage of this opportunity to
protect your child's future reproductive health
Also, if you are considering using soy as a treatment or preventive measure for
menopause symptoms, osteoporosis, cancer, heart disease or any other
condition--read this book first! The information it contains is invaluable and
something you won't find anywhere else.
The Whole Soy Story sends a much-needed wakeup call to Americans: The highly
processed soy foods we eat today are not natural or healthy, and they're harming our
health--not helping it. This book is a necessity and an essential read before you take your
next bite, drink or pill of soy (believe me, by the time you finish this book, you'll have
lost your appetite!).

Is An Acidic pH Imbalance Making
You Over Weight?
Do you have an Over Weight Problem?
Why are weight problems so hard to resolve? Here are some facts you may not
know... Billions are spent on weight loss programs but the percentage of overweight
people continues to climb.
The number of overweight people increased dramatically during the last 40 years of
the 20th Century. According to government studies, the following statistics reveal
some startling facts about weight gain.
SOURCES: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Health Statistics,
National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys.
As you can see, the overweight problem in the United States has escalated. There
are over four million-plus entries listed on Google.com for "Weight Loss." Do you
know if any these entries have a real solution? We are hoping to help you out here,
so you can determine for yourself what might work and might not before you buy
another promise that may not address the underlying factors.
Fact #1:
Acids build up in the body. A few contributing sources include processed foods,
environmental pollution, chemical cleaners and cosmetics, polluted water, pesticides,
and stress.
*Poison: 1. a substance with an inherent property that tends to destroy life or impair
health. 2. something harmful or pernicious, as to happiness or well-being.
27
Fact #2:
The body stores acid poisons in fat cells. This is what the body does in order to keep
the acid poisons out of vital organs.
The body tends to hang on to the fat to keep the acid poisons from doing more
damage in other areas of the body.
When the body can't store the acid poisons in the fat cells, they are stored in vital
organs and/or excreted through the skin causing skin eruptions or rashes.
Fact #3:
The body uses a balancing mechanism to ensure high levels of acid poisons do not
circulate in the blood stream. You can monitor the acid level by having a pH test
done. Your pH number is a measurement of the potential of hydrogen, referring to a
scale showing how acid or alkaline something is... the more acid -- the more
hydrogen is present; the more alkaline -- the more oxygen is present.
The blood of the body needs to be at a pH of 7.365 which is slightly alkaline, and the
rest of the body works to ensure this happens. A professional healthcare provider
can monitor the blood pH to predict and control health issues.
When the blood remains between 7.3 and 7.4 on a consistent basis, the body has the
ability to adjust to a normal healthy state which includes ideal weight. The
monitoring of pH to predict and control health issues is not widely practiced here in
the United States.
You can monitor your blood pH by testing the pH of your urine and saliva. There is a
certain protocol to follow and it is a good alternative to testing the blood pH.
When you get the urine and saliva pH to read 7.0 on a consistent basis your body
will be able to readjust to it's appropriate or natural weight. Your cravings will
change. Your life will change... for the better.
Your body will be working against any weight loss program which is not geared to
move the pH of internal systems into the appropriate balance.
Exercise and diet are two major factors that help balance the pH and maintain a
healthy body when done correctly. But there are more factors not usually addressed.
Learn more about pH and how you can use it to control your own health and
weight. This system works because it addresses fundamental causes of most health
issues.

Now, the most obvious seems to elude us. But for those who have read The pH Miracle, The pH
Miracle for Diabetes (released July 29th, 2004) and
The pH Miracle for Weight loss (now available at 34% off- ("lick Here) understand that many if
not all deaths are preventable and are caused by an over-acidification of the blood and tissues due
to an inverted way of living, eating, drinking and thinking. I believe that the list of preventable
diseases should also include heart disease, all cancers, AIDS, MS, and diabetes —just to name a
few. ALL of these diseases are just as preventable as death by obesity and tobacco. In fact, the
cures for all diseases will not be found in their treatments but in their prevention!
For example, tobacco smoke is a colloid of sugar. Every time you inhale tobacco smoke you are
taking a hit of sugar. And when you are not smoking or even stop smoking you turn to sugar in
other foods to get your acidic sugar fix. You see tobacco company's paint the tobacco leaves with
sugar and yeast. These two ingredients are the true leading addicting compounds in tobacco smoke
and acidify the tissues of the lung leading to lung cancer and/or obesity.
As many of you know, sugar is a major contributor to endogenous acid production and a major
contributor to obesity, heart disease and cancer. Why? Because sugar turns to the acid,
acetlyaldehyde, a nuero-toxin and then to ethanol alcohol that causes the body, organs and/or
tissues to breakdown. This happens in the same way that Heinz 57 (an acid) tenderizes meat,
acetlyaldehyde and ethanol alcohol tenderizes your organs and tissues. When excess acid starts to
breakdown body cells the body goes into preservation mode by holding on to fat to park these
dangerous acids away from the organs that sustain life. This is why WE GET FAT. We get fat
because we are over-acidic and the body is trying to save it self from our poor lifestyle and diet
choices. Eureka!!! America is not overweight it is over-acidic and 65% of ALL Americans need to
get off their FAT ACIDS and GO TO HEALTH!
Bottom line, it is not fat that is bad it is the acidic lifestyles and diets that are bad. Fat is saving
your life! And for the almost 65% of the Americans that are obese if it wasn't for the fat on their
bodies to park all the endogenous acids they create through smoking and acidic lifestyles and diets,
they would ALL be DEAD! Instead of 400,000 deaths a year we would have 270 million deaths in
one year due to acidic lifestyles and diets — ALL FROM ACID - NOT FROM FAT. So the next
time you think about the extra FAT on your body, be grateful for the extra pounds and thank God
for an incredible body that is working to save your life from your acidic lifestyle and diet choices.
Always keep in mind that your body is holding on to fat to buffer excess acids and always
remember that
30
YOUR FAT is saving your life! The key here is to be thankful and grateful and then get off your
acidic lifestyle and diet and watch the extra fat literally melt away as you alkalize and energize your
body.
1) Eating or drinking high sugar fruit drinks or fruits like apples, oranges, pears, bananas,
watermelon, etc., Instead of getting fit for life you will get fat for life when you eat high sugar
fruits!
2) Drinking alcoholic beverages will make you fat!
3) Eating starchy foods like potatoes, pastas, breads, pastries, etc., breaks down to sugar, then to
acid which will make you fat!
4) Smoking or using tobacco products are acidic and will make you fat.
5) Taking recreational drugs makes you fat!
6) Eating a high protein diet, including chicken, eggs, pork products, meat, turkey, duck, etc., are
all acidic and makes you fat!
7) Drinking acidic coffee or teas with now over 90,000 acidic choices from your corner acidic
coffee shop is a major contributor to obesity!
8) Eating dairy products including milk, cheese, ice cream, cream, etc., have concentrated sugars
called lactose that breakdown to lactic acid AND that makes you fat!
9) Eating sugary or processed foods or fast foods are all acidic and makes you fat!
10) Drinking sodas, sport drinks or acidic water will make you sick, tired and fat!
11) Not exercising daily cause's acids to build up in the tissues and that also makes you fat!
12) Negative emotions like fear, anger, resentment, revenge will make you fat!
If FACT, nutritional experts that advise our government actually believe if you eat 4000 calories
and only burn 3000 calories that will make you fat. That somehow the excess calories will make
you fat. That is totally ridiculous. Obesity is NOT ABOUT CALORIES it is ABOUT ACID and the
body's ability to get rid of the excess acid.
If you are doing at least 4 out of the 12 above acidic choices then you are acidic and a candidate for
all the symptoms associated with lifestyles and diets that are acidic, including obesity, cancer,
diabetes and death. Remember you do not get OLD you MOLD. Just like wine and beer or food
left in your refrigerator to long, you too can and will ferment and rot. The body uses fat to slow
down the acidic rotting or aging process.
Now — the not so obvious. The same folks that bring us the acidic death causing tobacco products
are the same folks that bring us the death causing acidic foods. Check it out for yourself. Is it not
the same companies that make tobacco products the same companies that bring us the acidic
processed foods that we find on the shelves of our Supermarkets? I believe so.
One thing you need to keep in mind — you still have your free agency and can choose to eat acidic
processed sugary foods, smoke acidic tobacco products, drink acidic alcohol
31
beverages, or take recreational and/or prescription drugs - or - alkalize and energize your body
with the seven steps to your ideal healthy weight by:
1) Eating whole natural unprocessed foods and lots of green foods
2) Eating at least 60 grams of long chained poly-unsaturated fats
3) Drinking high pH alkaline water with a pH of at least 9.5
4) Taking nutritional supplements that support organs and organ systems
5) Daily exercise and sweating
6) Cleansing emotionally and
7) Reconnecting to your true self, spiritually.
The choice is yours. If this country is the land of the free then you are truly free to choose. The true
beauty in freedom is in the reality of having the freedom to choose! Whether it be right or wrong,
acid or alkaline, light or darkness - you can choose now.
I truly believe that each person must take personal responsibility for their own lifestyle and diet
choices and not blame others for their poor choices. Especially when we know and have the truth
and this truth can and will set us free physically, emotionally and spiritually. I believe that most
intelligent people would agree that smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, using illicit drugs and
eating processed foods are hazardous to ones health and fitness.
All I would suggest then, if you want to enjoy a life full of energy, vitality, fitness and health --
CHOOSE WISELY!

WATER vs COKE
WATER
• 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half the world
population)
• In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken
for hunger.
• Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.
• One glass of water shuts down midnight hunger pangs for almost
100% of the dieters studied in a Univeisiiy of Washington study.
• Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
• Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could
significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
• A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with
basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
• Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus
it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to
develop bladder cancer.
• In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in
the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
• You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.
• To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a
crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
• To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the
terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
• To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt
for several minutes.
• To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy
clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will
help loosen grease stains.
• The actrve ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a
nail in about 4 days.
• To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the
hazardous material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.
• The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of
33
their trucks for about 20 years! « The U.S. Navy uses Coke to clean their toilets
on submarines because
they cannot use chemicals.
• The pipes in a Coke factory must, be replaced every 6 months,
• To clean'a toilet: Pour a cari of Coke into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing"
sit for one hour, then flush clean.
• The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from
your windshield.
• The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It's pH is 2.8. It will
dissolve a nail in about 4 days.
• The phosphoric acid in Coke leaches calcium from bones and is a major
contributor to the increase in osteoporosis.
• The citric acid in Coke removes stains from all china.
Now the question is, would you like a soda or a class of water?

8 glasses per day to keep fat
away
WATER SUPPRESSES THE APPETITE NATURALLY AND HELPS THE BODY METABOLIZE
STORED FAT. STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT AN INCREASE IN WATER INTAKE CAN
ACTUALLY REDUCE FAT DEPOSTIS. Here's why the kidneys can't function properly without
enough water. When they don't work to capacity some of their load is dumped on the liver. One of
the livers primary functions is to metabolize stored fat into usable energy for the body. But, if the
liver has to do some of the kidneys works it can't operate at full throttle. As a result it metabolizes
less fat more fat remains in the body, and weight loss stops.
DRINKING ENOUGH WATER IS THE BEST TREAMENT FOR FLUID RETENTION. When the
body get less water, it perceived this as a threat to survival and begins to hold on to every drop.,
Water is stored in extra cellular spaces. This shows up as swollen feet, legs, and hands. The best way
to overcome the problem of water retention is to give the body exactly what it needs—plenty of
water. Only then will stored water be released. If you have a constant problem with water retention,
excess salt may be to blame. Your body will tolerate sodium only in a certain concentration. The
more salt you eat the more water your system retains to dilute it. But getting rid of unneeded salt is
easy just drink more water. As it's forced through the kidneys, it takes away excess sodium.
WATER CAN HELP TO RELIVE CONSTIPATION. When the body gets too little water, it siphons
what it needs from internal sources. The colon is one primary source. Result? Constipation. But,
when a person drinks enough water, normal bowel functions usually returns.
HOW MUCH WATER IS ENOUGH? On the average a person should drink 8 - 8oz. Glasses daily.
However an overweight person needs 1 additional glass of every 25 Ibs of excess weight. The
amount you drink should also be increased if you exercise briskly or if the weather is hot and dry.
Water should preferably be cold; it's absorbed into the system more quickly than warm water. Some
evidence suggest that drinking cold water can actually help burn calories. When the body gets the
water it needs to function optimally, its' fluids are perfectly balanced. When this happens, you have
reached the "breakthrough point". This means: endocrine-gland function improves, fluid retention is
alleviated as stored water is lost, more fat is used as fuel because the liver is free to metabolize
stored fat. Natural thirst returns, there is a loss of hunger almost overnight. If you stop drink enough
water, your body fluids will be thrown out of balance again, and you may experience fluid retention,
unexplained weight gain, and loss of thirst. To remedy the situation you'll have to go back and force
another breakthrough.

TOP ESSENTIALS of LIFE
1. Oxygen 2. Water 3. Salt 4. Potassium 5. Exercise 6. Oils
FACT - No one can live without these. Mainstream medicine too often ignores 2 & 3
in favor of selling drugs and procedures to treat the symptoms of dehydration.
FACT - The people with the worst health drink the least water and use the most
deadly diuretic drought causing drugs - caffeine and/or alcohol.
FACT - The salinity of the water outside the cells in our bodies is the same as the
ocean.
FACT - In the middle ages people were put to a horrible death by salt deprivation.
FACT - Health care makes big bucks by selling a quart of water with salt in it
(Saline 4) for up to $350.00 installed, but won't tell the patients they do
indeed need more water and salt in their diets.
FACT - How can you expect drug companies to do research on the importance of
water in our daily lives when they can't make money on it? Who does research to
put themselves out of business?
FACT - No two substances in the Bible are mentioned more than water and salt.
Sodium chloride or what is today called tabie salt (common salt) is the chemical compound
NaCI.

Vital Functions of Salt in the Body
1. Salt is most effective in stabilizing irregular heartbeats and, Contrary to
the misconception that it causes high blood pressure, it is actually essential
for the regulation of blood pressure - in conjunction with water. Naturally the
proportions are critical.
2. Salt is vital to the extraction of excess acidity from the cells in the body,
particularly the brain cells.
3. Salt is vital for balancing the sugar levels in the blood; a needed element
in diabetics.
4. Salt is vital for the generation of hydroelectric energy in cells in the body.
It is used for local power generation at the sites of energy need by the cells.
6. Salt is vital for absorption of food particles through the intestinal tract.
7. Salt is vital for the clearance of the lungs of mucus plugs and sticky
phlegm, particularly in asthma and cystic fibrosis.
11. Salt is vital to prevent excess saliva production to the point that it flows
out of the mouth during sleep. Needing to constantly mop up excess saliva
indicates salt shortage.
38
16. Salt is vital for the prevention of gout and gouty arthritis.
18. Salt is vital for preventing varicose veins and spider veins on the legs
and thighs.
19. Salt is vital to the communication and information processing nerve cells
the entire time that the brain cells work - from the moment of conception to
death.
20. Salt is vital for reducing a double chin. When the body is short of salt, it
means the body really is short of water. The salivary glands sense the salt
shortage and are obliged to produce more saliva to lubricate the act of
chewing and swallowing and also to supply the stomach with water that it
needs for breaking down foods. Circulation to the salivary glands increases
and the blood vessels become "leaky" in order to supply the glands with
water to manufacture saliva. The "leakiness" spills beyond the area of the
glands themselves, causing increased bulk under the skin of the chin, the
cheeks and into the neck.
21. Sea salt contains about 80 mineral elements that the body needs. Some
of these elements are needed in trace amounts. Unrefined sea salt is a
better choice of salt than other types of salt on the market. Ordinary table
salt that is bought in the super markets has been stripped of its companion
elements and contains additive elements such as aluminum silicate to keep it
powdery and porous. Aluminum is a very toxic element in our nervous
system. It is implicated as one of the primary causes of Alzheimer's disease.

Healing with Wheat grass Juice
1. Wheat grass Juice is one of the best sources of living chlorophyll available.
2. Chlorophyll is the first product of light and, therefore, contains more light energy than
any other element.
3. Wheat grass juice is a crude chlorophyll and can be taken orally and as a colon implant
without toxic side effects.
4. Chlorophyll is the basis of all plant life.
5. Wheat grass is high oxygen like all green plants that contain chlorophyll. The brain
and all body tissues function at an optimal level in a highly oxygenated environment.
6. Chlorophyll is anti-bacterial and can be used inside and outside the body as a healer.
7. Dr. Bernard Jensen says that it only takes minutes to digest wheat grass juice and uses
up very little body energy.
8. Science has proven that chlorophyll arrests growth and development of unfriendly
bacteria.
9. Chlorophyll (wheat grass) rebuilds the bloodstream. Studies of various animals have
shown chlorophyll to be free of any toxic reaction. The red cell count was returned to
normal within 4 to 5 days of the administration of chlorophyll, even in those animals,
which were known to be extremely anemic or low in red cell, count.
10. Farmers in the Midwest who have sterile cows and bulls put them on wheat grass to
restore fertility. (The high magnesium content in chlorophyll builds enzymes that
restore the sex hormones.)
11. Chlorophyll can be extracted from many plants, but wheat grass is superior because it
has been found to have over 100 elements needed by man. If grown in organic soil, it
absorbs 92 of the known 102 minerals from the soil.
12. Wheat grass has what is called the grass-juice factor, which has been shown to keep
herbivorous animals alive indefinitely.
13. Dr. Ann Wigmore has been helping people get well from chronic disorders for 30 years
using wheat grass.
14. Liquid chlorophyll gets into the tissues, refines them and makes them over.
15. Wheat grass juice is a superior detoxification agent compared to carrot juice and other
fruits and vegetables. Dr Earp-Thomas, associate of Ann Wigmore, says that 15 pounds
of Wheat grass is the equivalent of 350 pounds of carrot, lettuce, celery, and so forth.
16. Liquid chlorophyll washes drug deposits from the body.
17. Chlorophyll neutralizes toxins in the body.
18. Chlorophyll helps purify the liver.
19. Chlorophyll improves blood sugar problems.
20. In the American Journal of Surgery (1940), Benjamin Gruskin, M.D. recommends
chlorophyll for its antiseptic benefits. The article suggests the following clinical uses
for chlorophyll: to clear up foul smelling odors, neutralize strep infections, heal
wounds, hasten skin grafting, cure chronic sinusitis, overcome chronic inner-ear
inflammation and infection, reduce varicose veins and heal leg ulcers, eliminate
impetigo and other scabby eruptions, heal rectal sores, successfully treat inflammation
of the uterine cervix, get rid of parasitic vaginal infections, reduce typhoid fever, and
cure advanced pyorrhea in many cases.

Are You Clean Inside?
.
This site is about colon cleansing, constipation, parasites, IBS, bloating as well as other topics listed to the
right. If you’re interested in any of these issues, then you’ve come to the right place as DrNatura.com is the #1
Online Colon Cleansing Resource. We have more unbiased customer reports and testimonials than any other
site on the Internet. What you’re about to find out is absolutely amazing, and the solutions we offer may be the
answer to your prayers, as so many here will testify. Please read the stories of real people whose lives have been
dramatically improved through internal cleansing.
We are all exposed to thousands of toxins and chemicals on a daily basis at work, in the home, through the air we
breathe, our food and water supply, and through the use of pharmaceutical drugs. In addition, we are eating more
sugar and processed foods than ever before in human history and regularly abuse our bodies with various stimulants
and sedatives.
These toxins and “dead” foods lead to poor digestion, constipation, toxic colon build-up, weight gain and low energy.
These common symptoms are more than just an inconvenience – they can lead to long-term health problems and
serious disease.
“Of all the polite topics of conversation, the state of one's intestines is probably at the
bottom of most people's lists. Let's face it: Irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, gas,
diverticulitis and colon cancer are simply not things we like to discuss. And yet, as the old
expression goes, death begins in the colon. Don't believe it? Ask any coroner. Autopsies
often reveal colons that are plugged up to 80 percent with waste material.”
– Vegetarian Times, March, 1998
“Every living thing has at least one parasite that lives inside or on it, and many, including
humans, have far more. …Scientists…are only just beginning to discover exactly how
powerful these hidden inhabitants can be, but their research is pointing to a remarkable
possibility: Parasites may rule the world. The notion that tiny creatures we've largely taken
for granted are such a dominant force is immensely disturbing. … We are collections of cells
41
that work together, kept harmonized by chemical signals. If an organism can control those
signals — an organism like a parasite — then it can control us. And therein lies the peculiar
and precise horror of parasites.”
The combination of environmental toxins, an unhealthy diet and parasites poses a grave danger to humans. “In fact,
parasites have killed more humans than all the wars in history”, reported National Geographic in its award-
winning documentary, The Body Snatchers.
How do you know when it’s time to free your body of accumulated toxins, parasites and other waste material? Colon
cleansing/detoxification can be beneficial for those with one or more of the following conditions:
For general information on internal cleansing please read this excellent article by Dr. Lynn Hardy, ND, CNC, director
of the Global Institute For Alternative Medicine.
If the problem of constipation is not addressed in time, it can slowly destroy a healthy body. As one of America’s
foremost pioneering nutritionists, Dr. Bernard Jensen, author of numerous best-selling health books, put it:
“The fact of the matter is that constipation is the number one affliction underlying nearly every
ailment; it can be imputed to be the initial, primary cause of nearly every disturbance of the
human system.”
42
Instead it is forced to absorb toxins from the build-up and from the parasites that make this debris their breeding
ground. The passage through which the feces are forced to travel is also greatly reduced in diameter so the stools
become much narrower – even as thin as a pencil sometimes.
Common Causes of Constipation
▪ not enough fiber in the diet
▪ not enough liquids
▪ lack of exercise
▪ medications
▪ irritable bowel syndrome
▪ changes in life or routine such as pregnancy, older age, and travel
▪ abuse of laxatives
▪ ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement
▪ specific diseases such as stroke
Many Colonix users report losing weight naturally while on the cleanse. One thing almost everyone boasts about is a
flatter belly. All the accumulated toxins really help add to our midriff and getting rid of this “excess” internally will make
a noticeable difference on the outside. (You’ll be able to take in a notch or two on that belt!) Also, once the body is
cleansed, it can assimilate nutrients much more efficiently, thus reducing the craving for sweets and fatty foods. You’ll
also find that once you’ve gone to all the trouble of detoxifying your body, you’ll be a lot more cautious about your
food selections.

The Deadly Risks of Gastric Bypass
Researchers are debating whether or not bariatric
surgeries dealing with obesity present more benefits or
more risks to patients.
Gastric bypass surgery, which involves creating a smaller
stomach by stapling off a section and rearranging the small
intestine, is one they have been specifically focused on.
While some researchers claimed the surgery saves lives of
extremely obese people, an opposing study found that one
in every 50 gastric bypass surgeries result in death within
a month after the operation.
Critics say the risks far outweigh the benefits, in that the
surgery not only poses a risk of death, but also sets people
up for medical problems such as malnutrition.
Those in favor of the surgery disagree, and believe that patients who make it through
the operation will benefit from improvements in common obesity-related health issues
such as diabetes, heart disease and lung function. They even claim those who undergo
the operation seem to live longer.
In a study involving 66,109 obese patients, two groups were formed. The first group
consisted of 3,328 patients who received gastric bypass surgery, while the second
group included the remainder of the patients, or those hospitalized for some other
medical reason.
Researchers found:
After 15 years, 11.8 percent of patients of all ages who had gastric bypass
surgery died, compared to the 16.3 percent who did not have the surgery
Another study concerning bariatric surgery involved 1,035 morbidly obese patients who
had gastric bypass surgery and 5,746 patients of the same weight who did not have the
surgery.
The results from the study showed:
Sixty-seven percent of the gastric bypass patients lost their excess weight
In a five-year follow up, six patients died (four from the operation), compared to
the 350 patients who died and did not have the surgery
It is important to note: The success rate of gastric bypass surgery reflects the
44
experience of the surgeon, in that patients are at five times the risk of death during
surgery if a surgeon is less experienced.

Diets Don't Work!
By Chad Tackett
While very few diets teach healthy low-fat shopping, cooking, and dining-out
strategies, many offer unrealistic recommendations and encourage health-
threatening restrictions. Even more important, diets don't teach us the safest,
most effective ways to exercise; they don't teach us how to deal with our cravings
and our desires, or how to attend to our feelings of hunger and fullness. Eventually,
we become tired of the complexity, the hunger, the lack of flavor, the lack of
flexibility, the lack of energy, and the feeling of deprivation. We quit our diets and
gain back the weight we've lost; sometimes we gain even more!
Each time we go on another diet of deprivation, the weight becomes more difficult
to lose, and we become even more frustrated and discouraged. Then we eat more
and exercise less, causing ourselves more frustration, discouragement, depression.
Soon we are in a vicious cycle. We begin to ask ourselves, "Why bother?" We begin
to blame ourselves for having no will power when what we really need is clear,
scientifically-based information that will help us develop a healthier lifestyle we
can live with for the rest of our lives.
Many of us who diet get caught in a "yo-yo" cycle that begins with low self-
acceptance and results in structured eating and living because we lack trust in our
46
body and are unwilling to listen and adhere to our body's signals of hunger and
fullness. On diets, we distrust and ignore internal signs of appetite, hunger, and our
need to be physically and psychologically satisfied. Instead, we depend on diet
plans, measured portions, and a prescribed frequency for eating.
As a result, many of us have lost the ability to eat in response to our physical
needs; we experience feelings of deprivation, then binge, and finally terminate our
"health" program. This in turn leads to guilt, defeat, weight gain, low self-esteem,
and then we're back to the beginning of the yo-yo diet cycle. Rather than making
us feel better about ourselves, diets set us up for failure and erode our self-
esteem.
The attitudes and practices acquired through years of dieting are likely to result
in a body weight and size obsession, low self-esteem, poor nutrition and excessive
or inadequate exercise. Weight loss from following a rigid diet is usually
temporary. Most diets are too drastic to maintain; they are unrealistic and
unpleasant; they are physically and emotionally stressful. And most of us just
resume our old eating and activity patterns. Diets control us; we are not in control.
People who try to live by diet lists and rules learn little or nothing about proper
nutrition and how to enjoy their meals, physical activity, and a healthy lifestyle. No
one can realistically live in the diet mode for the rest of their life, depriving
themselves of the true pleasures of healthy eating and activity.
Decades of research have shown that diets, both self-initiated and professionally-
led, are ineffective at producing long-term health and weight loss (or weight
control). When your diet fails to keep the weight off, you may say to yourself, "If
only I didn't love food so much . . . If I could just exercise more often . . . If I just
had more will power." The problem is not personal weakness or lack of will power.
Only 5 percent of people who go on diets are successful. Please understand that we
are not failing diets; diets are failing us.
The reason 95 percent of all traditional diets fail is simple. When you go on a low-
calorie diet, your body thinks you are starving; it actually becomes more efficient
at storing fat by slowing down your metabolism. When you stop this unrealistic
eating plan, your metabolism is still slow and inefficient that you gain the weight
back even faster, even though you may still be eating less than you were before you
went on the diet.
47
In addition, low-calorie diets cause you to lose both muscle and fat in equal
amounts. However, when you eventually gain back the weight, it is all fat and not
muscle, causing your metabolism to slow down even more. Now you have extra
weight, a less healthy body composition, and a less attractive physique.
Diets require you to sacrifice by being hungry; they don't allow you to enjoy the
foods you love. This does not teach you habits which you can maintain after the
diet is over. Most diet programs force you to lower your caloric intake to
dangerously low levels. The common theory is that if you eat fewer calories than
you burn, you will lose weight. But when you eat fewer calories than your body
needs to maintain its life-sustaining activities, you're actually losing muscle in
addition to fat. Your body breaks down its own muscles to provide the needed
energy for survival.
Traditional diets which use calorie restriction to produce weight loss are no longer
appropriate. Most weight-loss programs measure success solely in terms of the
number of pounds lost per weight loss attempt. Diets don't take into account the
quality of the process used to achieve that weight loss or the very small likelihood
of sustained weight loss. For long-term good health, you need to move away from
low-calorie diets and focus on enjoyable physical activity and good nutrition.
Exercising regularly and eating lean-supporting calories, protein and
carbohydrates, and reducing fat-supporting calories will not only help you look and
feel better, it will also significantly reduce your risk of disease.
48
Take the frustration, guilt, and deprivation out of weight management, and allow
yourself to adopt gradual, realistic changes into your life that will make healthy
eating and physical activity a permanent pleasure. You will soon discover what your
body is capable of and begin to look, act, and feel your very best. Good luck and
enjoy all the wonderful benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle.

your activity habits.

Where Diets Go Wrong
When we discover that we are heavier than we want to be, we have a natural
inclination to eat less food. We may skip lunch or eat only a tiny amount of our
dinner in the hope that if we eat less our body will burn off some of its fat. But
that is not necessarily true. Eating less actually makes it more difficult to lose
weight.
Keep in mind that the human body took shape millions of years ago, and at that
time there were diets. The only low-calorie event in people's lives was starvation.
Those who could cope with a temporary lack of food were the ones who survived.
Our bodies, therefore, have developed this built-in mechanism to help us survive in
the face of low food intake.
When researchers compare overweight and thin people, they find that they are
roughly the same number of calories. What makes overweight people different is
the amount of fat that they eat. Thin people tend to eat less fat and more complex
carbohydrates.
Losing weight is not something one can do overnight. A carefully planned weight
loss program requires common sense and certain guidelines. Unfortunately, there's
a lot of misinformantion floating around and lots of desperate people are easily
duped and ripped off.
Every day one can open a magazine or newspaper and see advertisements touting
some new product, pill or patch that will take excess weight off quickly. Everyone
seems to be looking for that "magic" weight loss pill. Millions of Americans are
trying to lose weight, spending billions of dollars every year on diet programs and
products. Often they do lose some weight. But, if you check with the same people
five years later, you will find that nearly all have regained whatever weight they
lost.
A survey was done recently to try and determine if any commercial diet program
could prove long-term success. Not a single program could do so. So rampant has
the so-called diet industry become with new products and false claims that the
FDA has now stepped in and started clamping down.
50
Being seriously overweight and particularly obesity can develop into a number of
diseases and serious health problems, and it is now a known fact that when caloric
intake is excessive, some of the excess frequently is saturated fat.
The myth is that people get heavy by eating too many calories. Calories are a
consideration it's true, but overall they are not the cause of obesity in America
today. Americans actually take in fewer calories each day than they did at the
beginning of the century. If calories alone were the reason we become overweight,
we should all be thin. But we are not. Collectively, we are heavier than ever. Partly,
it is because we are more sedentary now. But equally, as important is the fact that
the fat content of the American diet has changed dramatically.
People who diet without exercising often get fatter with time. Although your
weight may initially drop while dieting, such weight loss consists mostly of water
and muscle. When the weight returns, it comes back as fat. To avoid getting fatter
over time, increase your metabolism by exercising regularly.
Select an exercise routine that you are comfortable with and remember that
walking is one of the best and easiest exercises for strengthening your bones,
controlling your weight and toning your muscles.

Are You Drinking Enough Water?
Most people have no idea how much water they should be drinking, and most
Americans live from day to day in a dehydrated state. They don't drink enough
water.
Without water, we would be poisoned to death by our own waste products and
toxins resulting from metabolism.
We need water to breathe; we lose approximately one pint of liquid every day just
by exhaling.
If you are not in "fluid balance" you can impair every aspect of your body's
physiological functioning.
Proper water intake is the key to weight loss," says Dr. Donald Robertson,
Scottsdale, Arizona. "If people who are trying to lose weight don't drink enough
water, the body can't metabolize the fat, they retain fluid, which keeps their
weight up, and the whole procedure we're trying to set up falls apart."
"I'd say the minimum amount of water a healthy person should drink is 10 eight-
ounce glasses a day," he continues, "and you need to drink more if you are
overweight, exercise a lot, or live in a hot climate. Overweight people should drink
an extra eight ounces of water for each 25 pounds that exceeds their ideal
weight."
52
Your water intake should be spread judiciously throughout the day, including the
evening. Dr. Flaks cautions against drinking more than four glasses in any given
hour. Always check with your physician before embarking on a water intake
increase program.
You may ask, "If I drink this much water, won't I constantly be running to the
bathroom?" Initially, yes, because of the hypersensitivity of the bladder to
increased fluids. But after a few weeks, your bladder calms down, and you urinate
less frequently, but in larger amounts.
There is a difference between pure water and other beverages that contain water.
Water is water. Obviously you can get it by consuming fruit juice, soft drinks,
beer, coffee or tea. Unfortunately, while such drinks contain water, they also may
contain substances that are not healthy and actually contradict some of the
positive effects of the added water.
Dr. Jerzy Meduski, Los Angeles, California: "Beer contains water, but it also
contains alcohol, which is a toxic substance. Beverages that contain caffeine, such
as coffee, stimulate the adrenal glands; fruit juices contain a lot of sugar and
stimulate the pancreas. Such drinks may tax the body more than cleanse it."
Another problem with these beverages is that you lose your taste for water.
The way to interpret all of this, therefore, is that the recommended daily water
intake means just that--WATER!

Can Stress Make You Fat?
You've heard that stress can kill you - that it's a risk factor for high blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes - but is it
also a risk factor for obesity?
Is it really fast food that has made Americans the fattest people in the world... Or is it something more insidious?
Scientists have charted the precise physiological mechanisms that convert a stressful event happening outside us into a
stressful result inside us. Muscles contract to armor us against injury. Blood pressure rises, heart rate and respiration
quicken to provide the energy we need to fight or flee. Digestion shuts down. Blood will clot more quickly to slow
blood loss from injury. The liver releases energy in the form of glycogen, raising blood sugar.
All these processes are designed to cope with acute stress. Unfortunately, when these protective mechanisms are
activated over and over again for years and years, they cause great physical harm.
Chronically contracted muscles induce chronic pain. The immune system's impaired ability to turn off inflammation
leads to arthritis and other difficult to treat conditions such as Fibre-myalgia. Chronic high blood pressure and
increased clotting cause heart attack and strokes.
Poor digestion results in faulty absorption of vital nutrition, as well as gastritis and irritable bowel syndrome. Rapid
shallow breathing removes too much carbon dioxide from the blood which then loses its proper acidity, causing heart
palpitations, faintness and panic attacks.
Chronically Increased blood sugar promotes Type II Diabetes. The release of cortisol from the adrenal glands shuts
down the immune system, slowing wound healing and lowering the body's ability to fight off colds, flu and other more
serious diseases.
Last but not least, cortisol (we used to call it adrenalin) fosters deposits of fat, particularly around the abdomen.
Have you been dieting, or just eating right, and exercising regularly, but can't lose any weight? The stress/cortisol
connection may be the reason.
Here's another reason why stress can make us fat. High starch foods, like pasta, potatoes, and white bread, stimulate
the production of seratonin, that wonderful hormone responsible for a happy, relaxed
mood.
Dair/ products contain l-iryptophan, an amino acid that converts to seratonin. It's no wonder we crave those foods.
They actually help us feel less anxious.
As I noted above,, the stress response shuts down digestion. Conversely, digestion shuts down the stress response. Just
the act of eating calms you.
So don't stress over your weight. It's normal to eat more and put on weight when you're going through stressful
times. Concentrate, instead, on finding ways to relieve the stress you feel.
Review your lifestyle and see what needs to change. Then turn your attention to what and how much you eat; how
little you exercise. Working with your body instead of against it is the key to enjoying lifelong health.

7. Studies show and have proven that salt has nothing to do with high blood
pressure. The reason why so many people have high blood pressure is actually
the lack of sufficient salt mineral in the body. The main cause for this in America

a. Fear of believing that what the Doctors and Dieticians have told them must be
true
b. Salt is hard to come by

The 12 questions you have just experienced is all truth. I am convinced that you must be
either confused, frustrated or even angry that these things are not told to us. Through my
own experience I was grieved and angry, but when I made the necessary changes in my life
and changed my eating habits, the pounds came off and stayed off, I am still astounded. I
weighed 180 lbs+ for a long time wearing a size 18/20 and sometimes 22. After making up
my mind that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I began to rapidly lose weight so
much that my friends and family thought I was sick; to be honest I started to get concerned
64
myself. As I lost the weight I actually lost the ability of getting sick at all and have been
without sickness going on two years including two flu epidemics where this past winter they
actually closed schools because of the vast amount of people who were sick (perhaps you
were one of them –winter 2005) Last winter and summer I had to buy all new clothes
(which was fun) wearing a size 12/14 and this year I’m still buying yet another wardrobe
wearing a size 7/8. Don’t tell me it’s impossible. What you learned today is only the
beginning but I think that’s all a person can take in one day. It’s all true and if you and
your family apply there’s nothing you can’t accomplish.
I give you this information because of my love for people and my love for the truth. I
wouldn’t be so quick to ask others about all of this do the research yourself it’s all there for
the reading. I say that because when people don’t know the answer they will naturally
direct you to what they know and that may not be necessarily what you need!

Don't Drink Your Milk!

antibiotic residues. When the cows have less body fat, these toxic substances are then
transported into the cows' milk.
BGH also causes the cows to have an increase in breast infections for which they must
receive additional antibiotics.
Prior to BGH, 38%of milk sampled nationally was already contaminated by illegal
residues of antibiotics and animal drugs. This will only increase with the use of BGH.
One can only wonder what the long term complications will be for drinking milk that has
a 50% chance it is contaminated with antibiotics.
There is also a problem with a protein enzyme called xanthine oxidase which is in cow's
milk. Normally, proteins are broken down once you digest them.
However, when milk is homogenized, small fat globules surround the xanthine oxidase
and it is absorbed intact into your blood stream. There is some very compelling
research demonstrating clear associations with this absorbed enzyme and increased
risks of heart disease.
Ear specialists frequently insert tubes into the ear drums of infants to treat recurrent ear
infections. It has replaced the previously popular tonsillectomy to become the number
one surgery in the country.
Unfortunately, most of these specialists don't realize that over 50% of these children will
improve and have no further ear infections if they just stop drinking their milk.
This is a real tragedy. Not only is the $3,000 spent on the surgery wasted, but there are
some recent articles supporting the likelihood that most children who have this
procedure will have long term hearing losses.
It is my strong recommendation that you discontinue your milk products. If you find this
difficult, I would start for several weeks only, and reevaluate how you feel at that time.
This would include ALL dairy, including skim milk and Lact-Aid milk, cheese, yogurt, and
ice cream. If you feel better after several weeks you can attempt to rotate small
amounts of one form of milk every four days.
You probably are wondering what will happen to your bones and teeth if you stop milk.
The majority of the world's population takes in less than half the calcium we are told we
need and yet they have strong bones and healthy teeth.
Cows' milk is rich in phosphorous which can combine with calcium -- and can prevent
you from absorbing the calcium in milk. The milk protein also accelerates calcium
excretion from the blood through the kidneys.
This is also true when you eat large amount of meat and poultry products. Vegetarians
will need about 50% less calcium than meat eaters because they lose much less
calcium in their urine.
It is possible to obtain all your calcium from dark green vegetables (where do you think
the cow gets their's from?). The darker the better. Cooked collard greens and kale are
especially good. If you or your child is unable to take in large amounts of green
vegetables, you might want to supplement with calcium.
If you can swallow pills, we have an excellent, inexpensive source called Calcium
Citrate, which has a number of other minerals which your body requires to build up
maximally healthy bone.
68
It is much better than a simple calcium tablet. You can take about 1,000 mg a day. For
those who already suffer from osteoporosis, the best calcium supplement is
microcrystalline hydroxyapatite. It is also important that you take vitamin D in the winter
months from November to March. Normally your skin converts sunshine to vitamin D,
but the sunshine levels in the winter are very low unless you visit Florida or Mexico type
areas.
Most people obtain their vitamin D from milk in the winter; so if you stop it, please make
sure you are taking calcium with vitamin D or a multi vitamin with vitamin D to prevent
bone thinning.
Most people are not aware that the milk of most mammals varies considerably in its
composition. For example, the milk of goats, elephants, cows, camels, wolves, and
walruses show marked differences, in their content of fats, protein, sugar, and minerals.
Each was designed to provide optimum nutrition to the young of the respective species.
Each is different from human milk.
In general, most animals are exclusively breast-fed until they have tripled their birth
weight, which in human infants occurs around the age of one year. In no mammalian
species, except for the human (and domestic cat) is milk consumption continued after
the weaning period. Calves thrive on cow milk. Cow's milk is designed for calves.
Cow's milk is the number one allergic food in this country. It has been well documented
as a cause in diarrhea, cramps, bloating, gas, gastrointestinal bleeding, iron-deficiency
anemia, skin rashes, atherosclerosis, and acne.
It is the primary cause of recurrent ear infections in children. It has also been linked to
insulin dependent diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, infertility, and leukemia.
Hopefully, you will reconsider your position on using milk as a form of nourishment.
Small amounts of milk or milk products taken infrequently, will likely cause little or no
problems for most people.
However, the American Dairy Board has done a very effective job of marketing this
product. Most people believe they need to consume large, daily quantities of milk to
achieve good health. NOTHING could be further from the truth.
Public health officials and the National Dairy Council have worked together in this
country to make it very difficult to obtain wholesome, fresh, raw dairy products.
Nevertheless, they can be found with a little effort. In some states, you can buy raw milk
directly from farmers.
Whole, pasteurized, non-homogenized milk from cows raised on organic feed is now
available in many gourmet shops and health food stores. It can be cultured to restore
enzyme content, at least partially. Cultured buttermilk is often more easily digested than
regular milk; it is an excellent product to use in baking.
Many shops now carry whole cream that is merely pasteurized (not ultra pasteurized
like most commercial cream); diluted with water, it is delicious on cereal and a good
substitute for those allergic to milk.
Traditionally made creme fraiche (European style sour cream), it also has a high
enzyme content.

Stop the Absorption of
Fats While You Eat!
A natural product called chitosan is derived from chitin, a polysaccharide found in
the exo-skeleton of shellfish like 'shrimp or crabs. While it has been in existence
for millennia, its current form has just recently been synthesized. Chitosan is a
naturally occurring substance that is chemically similar to the plant fiber called
cellulose. Unlike plant fiber, however, chitosan is "magnetically" attracted to
lipids and has the ability, acting like a "sponge", to significantly prevent fat in the
digestive tract from being absorbed. Chitosan is not digestible; therefore it has no
caloric value! No matter how much chitosan you ingest, its calorie count remains
at zero.
Chitosan affects fat in the stomach before it has a chance to become metabolized.
It dissolves in the stomach and converts to a gel, which "traps" fat, thereby
preventing its absorption and subsequent storage. Chitosan renders the fat useless
to the body. Technically, it creates a "grease ball" out of excess fat which is then
too large to be absorbed. Both the chitosan and the fat are excreted in the stool.
Besides absorbing fat to promote weight loss, chitosan also inhibits bad cholesterol
and boosts good cholesterol. It also promotes healing of ulcers and lesions. It has
antibacterial and anti-candida action. Chitosan acts as an antacid. Chitosan may
help to control high blood pressure. It may treat and prevent irritable bowel
syndrome. Chitosan helps to prevent constipation. It is a calcium enhancer and
bone strengthener. Chitosan also reduces blood levels of uric acid (which causes
gout) and has been reported to have anti-tumor properties.
Chitosan may seem to be too good to be true. Can one product really accomplish
all the marvelous things chitosan does and still be safe for human consumption?
The answer is that chitosan has been safely used for more than two decades.

Myth: Use of soy as a food dates back many thousands of years.
Truth: Soy was first used as a food during the late Chou dynasty (1134-246 BC), only
after the Chinese learned to ferment soy beans to make foods like tempeh, natto and
tamari.
Truth: Average consumption of soy foods in Japan and China is 10 grams (about 2
teaspoons) per day. Asians consume soy foods in small amounts as a condiment, and
not as a replacement for animal foods.
Myth: Modern soy foods confer the same health benefits as traditionally fermented soy
foods.
Truth: Most modern soy foods are not fermented to neutralize toxins in soybeans, and
are processed in a way that denatures proteins and increases levels of carcinogens.
Truth: Like all legumes, soy beans are deficient in sulfur-containing amino acids
methionine and cystine. In addition, modern processing denatures fragile lysine.
Myth: Fermented soy foods can provide vitamin B12 in vegetarian diets.
Truth: The compound that resembles vitamin B12 in soy cannot be used by the human
body; in fact, soy foods cause the body to require more B 12
Truth: Soy foods contain trypsin inhibitors that inhibit protein digestion and affect
pancreatic function. In test animals, diets high in trypsin inhibitors led to stunted growth
and pancreatic disorders. Soy foods increase the body's requirement for vitamin D,
needed for strong bones and normal growth. Phytic acid in soy foods results in reduced
bioavailabilty of iron and zinc which are required for the health and development of the
brain and nervous system. Soy also lacks cholesterol, likewise essential for the
development of the brain and nervous system. Megadoses of phytoestrogens in soy
formula have been implicated in the current trend toward increasingly premature sexual
development in girls and delayed or retarded sexual development in boys.
Myth: Soy foods can prevent osteoporosis.
Truth: Soy foods can cause deficiencies in calcium and vitamin D, both needed for
healthy bones. Calcium from bone broths and vitamin D from seafood, lard and organ
meats prevent osteoporosis in Asian countries—not soy foods.
Truth: A British government report concluded that there is little evidence that soy foods
protect against breast cancer or any other forms of cancer. In fact, soy foods may result
in an increased risk of cancer.
Truth: In some people, consumption of soy foods will lower cholesterol, but there is no
evidence that lowering cholesterol improves one's risk of having heart disease.
Truth: Soy isoflavones are phyto-endocrine disrupters. At dietary levels, they can
prevent ovulation and stimulate the growth of cancer cells. Eating as little as 30 grams
(about 4 tablespoons) of soy per day can result in hypothyroidism with symptoms of
lethargy, constipation, weight gain and fatigue.
Myth: Soy foods are safe and beneficial for women to use in their postmenopausal
years.
Truth: Soy foods can stimulate the growth of estrogen-dependent tumors and cause
thyroid problems. Low thyroid function is associated with difficulties in menopause.
Truth: A recent study found that women with the highest levels of estrogen in their blood
had the lowest levels of cognitive function; In Japanese Americans tofu consumption in
mid-life is associated with the occurrence of Alzheimer's disease in later life.
Myth: Soy isoflavones and soy protein isolate have GRAS (Generally Recognized as
Safe) status.
Truth: Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) recently withdrew its application to the FDA for
GRAS status for soy isoflavones following an outpouring of protest from the scientific
community. The FDA never approved GRAS status for soy protein isolate because of
concern regarding the presence of toxins and carcinogens in processed soy.
Truth: Most soy beans grown in the US are genetically engineered to allow farmers to
use large amounts of herbicides.
Truth: In third world countries, soybeans replace traditional crops and transfer the
value-added of processing from the local population to multinational corporations.
