Dr. D.Y. Patil Arts, Commerce and Science College Library

Pimpri , Pune esablished at 1995 having collection of 35000 books ,
106 print journals & Magazines, also college has subscribe N-List ,
DELNET online database with e-books and e-journals Library is
situated at the lower floor , 6700 Square Feet area. Easily accessible
for the student and staff. The primary objective of the library is to
provide access to print books, journal & e-resources facility to users.

Library is providing a e-resources with combination of printed

books & journals has a 5000 of student and 270 of staff as library
members.

Library having digital section 25 computers of HP branded with

150mbps net speed with data lease line.

The library provide a Inter Library Loan membership of SPPU

Jayakar Library Pune , British Library Pune, NCL Pune , Gokhale Institute
Politics Pune for better resource sharing.

The Library having well furnished, reading hall with the 240
siting capacity.

Student should maintained complete silence in the hall and keep

mobile on silent mode and also signed the register kept at the entrance
counter before entering the reading hall .

Our college is multi faculty. So our college Library we trying to satisfy
information needs of the users. Library respects all forms by which
knowledge is communicated and users technology intelligently to
argument service. It protects free access to knowledge Library is the
house of knowledge and knowledge is free at the Library.

The college Library of Dr. D.Y. Patil Arts, Commerce & Science
college, Pimpri ,Pune was established in the year 1995. Since Library
functions as a students oriented informatics center focusing on the data
and informations as per the needs of the students and the faculty. The
Library has made consistant progress in terms of colleges of Books,
Periodicals, CDs, E-Resources, Services and infrastructure. We allow to
students and staff open. Access through the stroke and stack having a
simple subject wise arrangement classified by the DDC.

Various service facility to be provided by the Library, OPAC,

Reference, online database. E-books, e-journals, e-bulletin, Internet,
Reprography also enter Library room. Institutional membership like,
British Library Pune , SPPU Jaykar Library Pune, NCL Pune, Gokhale
institute of politics Pune.

Library is situated at the Lower Level of the college building is

"Welcome to the Library. Our college is multi-faculty College and so

is our library. We try to satisfy information needs of library users at the
maximum level. We are giving technology based facilities and services such as
Internet facility, Web-OPAC, Reference service through online databases, e-
books & e-journals, e-bulletin, books issue return through barcode scanner
etc. At the same time we also provide traditional services such as reference
reading facility, institutional membership of other libraries, inter library loan
etc. for those who need these services.

Instructions
 Show your Identity card whenever you visit the Library.
 Write your name in the register / scan your I-card at the counter while
entering in the library
 This I Card is lost fresh I Card will be issued on payment of Rs.250/-
 Library books issued only on his/her self Library card.
 Library books will be issued only as per schedule.
 One book for one week only it can be renewed.
 Students should return their book in given time period.
 Two books will be issued for third year / post graduate students only.
 Book Bank only for (First five in the class and the entire reservation
students) selected and economically backward students.
 In case loss of books double price of the book lost will be recovered as
penalty.
 The loss of I card should be immediately reported to the principal in
writing.
 Take proper care of all library resources.
 Any personal belongings are not permitted into the library.
 Eatables are not allowed inside the library & reading hall.
 Silence to be maintained.

 Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library.

 No library material will be issued on someone else I Card.

 Suggestion Box is kept at the counter in main library. Your
objective and positive/healthy suggestions are welcome.
 Strict action will be taken for any misbehavior in the reading
hall.
 Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the Reading Hall.
 Students are not allowed to sit in library during their lecture &
practical hours.
Digital Library

 Internet / Digital facility is for all students.

 Every student will get 1hr. for the use of Internet.
 Students must register their name & timing, one day before.
 Playing games, chatting, Downloading any pictures/ songs,
videos & misuse of internet is not allowed.
 Do not save any material on PC.
 Printing/Downloading is allowed with prior permission of
Librarian.
 Printing/Xeroxing will be provided on payment.
