Rachel Hauck, Broadway Scenic Designer- Studio Intern, Summer 2017
Assisted a Broadway designer on the design process for several productions over the course of 2 ½ months. Helped
build models, conducted historical research, lead a team of three-five other interns in matting and framing over 200
picture frames over a two-day period, and shopped throughout the NYC area for scenic elements and set dressing
and other tasks as assigned.
Clint Ramos, Broadway Designer- Studio Intern, Summer 2017
Assisted a Broadway designer on the design process for several productions over the course of the same 2 ½ months
as above. Assisted with script analysis, historical and visual research, drafting, and model building. Assisted his
Associate Designer in bringing conceptual sketches to a finished rendering in Photoshop.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Properties Intern, Summer 2016 Season


Researched and constructed props for 3 mainstage and 4 studio productions. Acted as properties master for a
Fellowship production; found and constructed over 100 props on a $200 budget. Worked with various designers, the
director and the other production staff for the festival as a whole.
Carnegie Mellon Costume Studio Work Study, 2015-Present

Assisted in the construction of costumes for the past three Carnegie Mellon School of Drama seasons, approx. 15
shows per season. Hemmed, repaired, and completed other tasks as assigned using both hand sewing and machine
sewing techniques on industrial and domestic machines.

Educational Experience
Stumpy Legs Too Short Scenic Designer, 2018- Present

Worked with the director and rest of the artistic team (with the help of an assistant) to analyze a script to create a visual
representation on stage. Duties entail: budgeting scenic elements, properties, and paints; researching, buying, and
building props; painting the scenic elements, building a physical 3d model of the set; and presenting ideas to the
producer and academic advisors.

Assisted the scenic designer with the responsibilities listed above.

FUGA Scenic Designer, 2017


Worked with the playwright-director and the rest of the artistic team to stage a new work as a part of Carnegie Mellon
University’s annual Playground Festival. Designed with a zero-dollar budget on a highly-compressed time frame.
