Of deformed revisionist Gĩkũyũ Supremacy philosophy

One of the most misappropriated Gĩkũyũ phrase today is gũcuka mĩtĩ in the name of
voting for our beloved tribal gods. The phrase in Gĩkũyũ has nothing to do with voting, it
was all about ‘betraying the trees’ by visiting mũndũ mũgo – a seer. Gĩkũyũ itself a
variant of Mũkũyũ (fig) tree, saw trees as a sacred beings nearer to our gods and a
connection to our ancestral spirits – mĩri ya mĩkongoe. It is not lost that propagators and
peddlers of gĩkũyũ kĩogomu would equate voting to a visit to witches – it is very valid.
The closest voting comes in Gĩkũyũ would be kuna mĩtĩ which was the determination of
a case by the just Gĩkũyũ Maragas who had achieved godly status and had no appetite
for salaries, women, fame, land and other capitalistic awards.

Another widely used but rarely practised deformed Gĩkũyũ philosophy is found in ‘gũtirĩ
ũkuĩte mwana mũgongo’. This was probably derived from migratory patterns of our
ancestors or the recent iregi break away from despotic metumi. (Must be a reason why
gĩkuyu call the capitocratic seat power, thingira wa iregi – house of rebels). The warrior
itungati, kamatimũ and njama were prepared anytime thus the saying. Everywhere you go
today this is the catchphrase in relation to declaration of war on impunity by equally
incompetent Maraga. In capitocrazy hell, everybody carries babies on their back in form
of bills - rent, school fees, beer, food, clothes (nguo nĩtũgũĩkĩra iraka nyũmba)……
Across Africa, since 1861 we now have monkeys on our backs whom we have to feed in
form of vampirish politicians, the local and global proxies…. That is why these monkeys
get worried that when we are not able to buy Brookside milk, cooking gas and all such, it
is not that they love us – it is because if our back collapse the ticks are likely to die off.
Sio ati wanajali tukisema mbiacara ni mbaya ….

Another muted philosophy on leadership can is articulated in “Ciĩ guthua ndongoria

ĩtikinyagĩra nyeki”…. It is clear, the migratory parakuyo or the Iregi won’t have a second
thought killing such a limping sheepish flock leader when faced with drought, leprosy or
mbiaciara mbaya epidemic….. well with deformed Gĩkũyũ philosophy anything goes
The photo attached captures the roots of the virulent deformed Gĩikũyũ philosophy – the
early missionaries, teachers, catechist were the weaklings in our society who couldn’t
hold a mũro firmly or couldn’t withstand the vagaries of the wild in herding or raiding
neighbouring communities herds. Cionje cia Gĩkũyũ found refuge in parasitic ũthũngũ -
that is why we weep, no macakaya…. They could steal and taste chicken, goats because
they were chiefs guarded by lesser dogs in the name of hut taxes from productive
farmers, iron smith, brewers ….. no macakaya… na bado
