ABSTRACT

The well Z-20 that is one of production well in Sukowati Field JOB PPEJ, and
have a high potencial production (PI = 0.6 bpd/psi). At first, well used artificial with
Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP), because cost pump rent is expensive, the well Z-
20 must be shut-in. With the last data Ql = 700 bpd and make calculate Inflow
Performance Relationship (IPR) with Vogel’s method to get Qlmax = 1033 bpd. Then,
the amount of gas in the field is big enough, that is 3 mmscfd, the planned installation
of continuous flow gas lift on Z-20 wells to increase the production rate. From the
design of the Z-20 well, it is known that the gas injection point (the location of
operating valve) is at a depth of 4500 ft with an injection gas rate of 480 mscfd, to
obtain a target production rate of 800 bpd. This, when compared between ESP and gas
lift methods, in addition to the cheaper cost because the gas is already available and
can increase the production rate, then it is possible that Z-20 wells can be installed by
gas lift as the artificial lift.

Sumur Z-20 adalah salah satu sumur produksi yang ada di Lapangan Sukowati
JOB PPEJ, dan termasuk sumur dengan potensi produksi cukup tinggi (PI= 0.6
bpd/psi). Sumur ini awalnya menggunakan metode pengangkatan buatan dengan
Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP), namun dikarenakan sewa pompa terbilang cukup
mahal akhirnya produksi sumur Z-20 dihentikan untuk sementara. Dengan data
terakhir yaitu Ql = 700 bpd dan dilakukan perhitungan Inflow Performance
Relationship (IPR) dengan metode Vogel didapat Qlmax sebesar 1033 bpd.
Kemudian, jumlah gas di lapangan cukup besar sekitar 3 mmscfd, dilakukan
perencanaan instalasi continuous flow gas lift pada sumur Z-20 guna meningkatkan
laju produksinya. Dari hasil desain sumur Z-20, diketahui titik injeksi gas (letak
operating valve) berada pada kedalaman 4500 ft dengan rate gas injeksi sebesar 480
mscfd, untuk mendapatkan target rate produksi sebesar 800 bpd. Dengan demikian,
jika dibandingkan antara metode ESP dan gas lift, selain biayanya lebih murah karena
gas juga telah tersedia serta dapat menaikkan laju produksi, maka mungkin saja sumur
Z-20 dapat dipasang gas lift sebagai pengangkatan buatannya.
