JEE Advanced Question Papers

In 2016, JEE Advanced Question Papers comprised objective type (multiple choice) and numerical answer type ques-
tions for testing comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.
Negative marking was applicable to some of the questions.
The language of the paper was English and Hindi. Candidates had to choose question paper language while registering.

JEE Advanced Optical Response Sheet

Answer sheet of JEE Advanced 2016 was a machine-readable ORS. Candidates were given a two-page ORS of same
layout.

The first page of the ORS was machine readable. It was designed so as to leave impressions of the responses on the
second page.

All the responses were to be marked on the first page of the ORS by darkening the appropriate bubble or bubbles (as
per the instructions given in the question paper). For darkening the bubbles, only black ball point pen could be used.
The second page of the ORS was handed over to them by the invigilator at the end of the examination.
