DOVER PUBLICATIONS, INC.

NEW YORK
Publisher’s Note
The 746 motifs in this volume, created by Hajime uchi for the Leading Part Company
of Osaka, represent some of the most ingenious and attractive applications of
geometrical and optical design to be found today. Expressive of fluidity, stability,
radiation, etc., their application is almost limitless. The designs can be broken down
into three main categories: circular (pages 1–93); predominantly square (pages 94–
165); alphabets and numbers (pages 166–170).
