The Saguaro
Not only is the saguaro cactus an

one of the most recognizable cacti
in the entire Southwest. The scien-
tific name of the Saguaro is Car-
negia Gigantica. It is in fact, a giant
cactus., growing up to 30 feet in
some habitats, larger in others. The
limbs are long and branch out from
the stem and the center is thick.
