Schrier well positioned to win the primary

A recent survey in the primary election for Washington’s 8th Congressional District shows Dr.
Kim Schrier starting the race with a clear lead over her Democratic challengers, Jason
Rittereiser and Shannon Hader.1 Among self-identified Democrats, Schrier leads Rittereiser 32
percent – 13 percent, with Hader trailing at 10 percent. After a short introduction of each
candidate, only Schrier experiences substantial movement. She leads Hader 44 percent – 16
percent with Rittereiser taking just 14 percent of self-identified Democrats.

Though the primary election is still a ways off and many voters are undecided, Schrier is well
positioned to win one of the two spots for the general election for the 8th Congressional District.
