Summary
 Received company wide accolades for role as lead engineer on a Regenerative Thermal
Oxidizer Project in Schenectady, New York which received a prestigious industry
President’s award.
 Functioned as Lead Engineer on a Marathon Refinery project which saved the company a
month’s down time because the project was constructed without any construction rework
which had been included in the project schedule. Marathon representatives were
exceedingly happy in our lessons learned meeting.
 Recognized by Union carbide representative for proactive response to a construction
problem. Action taken allowed a construction crew to proceed without delay during a
short turnaround during a weekend in which the engineering office would be closed.
 Mentored many junior engineers who needed advice and guidance from experienced
senior engineers.
 Created a useful Mathcad calculation sheet which adhered to current codes to perform
repetitive and tedious calculations required for the design of concrete tank ringwalls. The
calculation sheet is still used by myself and others who were issued the calculation sheet.

Design Experience
 Steel and concrete process units, pipe supports, and piperacks
 Shallow foundations: spread footings and combined mats
 Deep Foundations: timber piles, precast concrete piles, drilled shafts, and augercast piles
 Pump, compressor, and major equipment foundations
 In-plant roads and drainage
 Design and analysis of flood control structures – levees and barge swing gates (9 months
experience at last Aptim assignment)
