a Registered Nurse at your institution. I was Emily’s preceptor during her final
rotation of nursing school. Emily frequently sought out new opportunities in order
to gain further knowledge and enhance her nursing skills. From day one, I was
impressed by Emily's eagerness to learn and accept new challenges with ease. I
watched alongside Emily for five weeks as she became confident in speaking with
and managing patient care.
Emily consistently delivered the highest quality of patient care. She is a
professional, well-organized, self-directed, responsible individual that has excellent
critical thinking and assessment skills. She consistently established a positive
nurse-patient rapport and was able to therapeutically communicate with her
patients, family members, and staff.
By the end of her preceptorship, Emily cared for a full team of five patients on the
floor with minimal assistance and did so with self-confidence and competence.
