BULLYING:
IT’S EFFECT TO
SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
OF
YOUTH
I. Introduction

What is bullying? Bullying is one of alarming problems to on youth in our

country today not just in our country but worldwide and I think it is very important

for us to discuss on to find a solution to avoid or prevent about it.

Bullying is a form of violence defined as repeated systematic harassment

and attacks on others. Bullying also refers to willful aggressive behavior that is

directed often repeatedly towards a particular victim who maybe: outnumbered,

younger, weak with disability or differently abled and less psychologically confident

otherwise vulnerable.

According to Mercuria F. Ganaden Q.C. supervisor she defined that bullying

is essentially intimidating people perceived as weak or weaker, than the bully

which is characterized by a behavior of rather than an Isolated every which maker

it distinct from other forms of violence.

There are two types of bullying the emotional bullying an act that causes

the victim undue distress like directing fool language or profanity at the target and

cyber bullying any conduct resulting in harassment, intimidation or humiliation

through electronic means or other technology such as, but not limited to texting

email, instant messaging, chatting, internet, social networking, website or other

platforms or formal.
II. Body

“The Effects of bullying in Social Development of Youth”

Effects of bullying can bring the victims to risk. Bullying can loss your hope, loss

hope to continue your daily task in life or to continue living. Bullying can cause also

injury for the victims,- into death. Because there’s a possibility to kill himself or

herself by the reason of being hopeless or in losing hope.

The following case situation is an example of bullying:

Gilmar is a first year college student studying at Alcala Academic Extension,

he is very active and genius in class but then he have spots and pimples to his

face that the reason why his classmate Christopher and some of his companions

always bully or bullied him so it comes to the point that Gilmar bring himself to an

active in class

(Inferiority Vs. Confidence)

Inspiring Story for the house people who experiencing and who experienced the

so called bullying.

The friend of mine decided to stop complaining and try himself to go with

the flow at the virtue, although his too much hurt! He just ignored them bow his

head and little by little he closed his eyes and said “God help me! Let them realize

what they’re doing please oh God. I’m just a human; that also need a peaceful life,

need to be loved, need to be respect, need to be worthy in the eyes of my fellow

countrymans, honestly. When he felt that his not in feeling well because of them,

to those people that a downer in him to those who bullied him, he just kept in his

mind or told to himself that soon, someday when he wake up there’s a great smile

the substitution of all the sadness through his un expectable and terrible

experience that comes in his life.

He told me that he want to say this to all who experiencing the so called

bullying that- Don’t let yourself to pin down, don’t let anyone to bring you down to

those asinity; Ignore them they’re not the reason to stop leaving. Continue to walk

on… always remember. Just look up God is always there at your side to pull you

up, hold on because everything in this world have an ending “meaning” pain ends.

In addition to that:

Treat others, how you want to be treated.

III. Conclusion

In order to prevent this kind of problem, we must include bullying as a point

of discussion, homeroom activities, encouraging and supporting student-led

initiative to raise awareness on children’s right, bullying and positive discipline and

they should organize peer education, child protection policy and set up child

protection corner in school.

Remember, integration of bullying in education maybe an eye-opener on an

initiative of both parents and educators it may likewise serve as participation of

parents-teachers for the formation of good behavior of our students or children.

It takes an active support to make this world a safer place for our children’s

to stay.
