One of
the sufferer experience a change from the effects of physical chage such as chemotherapy
hair loss, dull, thin. The decline in the quality of life of women with cervical cancer are
streered into one suffering in his life. The process of therapy that lasts a long time and is very
heavy on cancer patients in need of a means to social advocates to support adherence to
therapy. Most major social support, namely in the form of family support. Support of
spouses, siblings and parents. Research was conducted to find out the relationship support
families with quality of life in patients of cervical cancer. The research design used was
survey with cross sectional approach in analytical. Sampling done by the technique of total
sampling. The sample in this research in cancer patients was Dr. Mohammad Hoesin
Hospital, numbered 51 persons with the age of the most 36-45 of the year. The research
results obtained by 82.4% of respondents who have a high family support, with good quality
of life. Test result obtained by fisher, taht there is a significant relationship between family
support with quality of life in patients with cervical cancer the p value (0.011). the nurse
partitioner is expected to be more active in providing counseling about the importance of
family support in improving the quality of life in patient of cervical cancer.
