species has become threatened or endangered, some created and some because of a break-down in
their life cycle. Many may cite habitat destruction, but you need to give details of why there is habitat
destruction.

The main reason of endangerment for the Bumble Bee Bat is their homes
are being disturbed by tourist and pollution which can kill them a lot faster
than it kills us because of size difference. The quality of its habitat has been
declining because of the workers mining in its cave for limestone. They are
very rare mammals to begin with also which is why they are close to
extinction.

Starting on the date your species was put on the IUCN list, include at least 4 major events in its g/details/5481/0
conservation/preservation history - see the example on the final project page.
It was put into the IUNC list in 2006.
Campaigns for the protection of this rare species has been put up but there has
been no restrictions or major events.
They have been protected by the Thailand government.
Recovery Plan
• We are going to save the Bumble bee bat by making sure that
the caves don’t get polluted by tourists and limiting people who
visit

• By limiting this the bumble bee bats will have more of a chance
to live.

• The Bumble bee bats habitat is being destroyed by mining for

limestone and logging so maintaining the habitat will help save
the bumble bee bat

• We will need donations and we will use the Money from tourists
to help rebuild the habitat and make changes to help prevent
people from littering, polluting and killing the species.
