Introduction: Gain information on students experience and exposure to the Bible to bring
recognition to differences in experience and methods by using a kahoot survey.

ENGAGE:
Have Students engage in a kahoot survey, more implicitly exposing material and allowing for
personal reflection.
EXPLORE:
Introduce the idea that there are multiple methods of exposure to the Bible for children
through slideshow and lecture.
EXPLAIN:
Have students articulate to one another what is essential to articulating the Bible to children in
creating a slide on slideshow to share.

Vocabulary: the adult Bible, the kid’s Bible, and the storybook Bible
ELABORATE:
What preserves/ does not preserve Biblical sacredness? Students can gain more info by doing
at-home research and using insertlearning by annotating pre-selected articles.
Have students elaborate on opinions that they have developed and discuss further the impact
that each opinion has on children (both positive and negative).

Done through class discussion using a flipped classroom model.

Students will participate in a final group presentation presenting their case and evidence for
their case using google classroom, docs, drive, and slides after preparing at home.

ELL,SpEd: Use images of different types of Bible to present differentiation between different
Bibles. Scatter students in different presentation groups for extra support and possibly use
different, more simplified articles.

Gate/Honors: Use more complex articles to perform research
