SERVICE HOURS

By: Jack Cornetti Miss Cardone May 2016

In the year 2017, four students were challenged with the task
of acquiring twenty hours of service hours. These students,
Jack, Nate, Jake, and Matt K found a way to do their service
through the Saint Alexis fair. The Saint Alexis fair is yearly
fundraiser for the school that takes place over four nights in
July. The boys signed up for every shift of everyday to work

Day 2:
The volunteers of the fair were ecstatic to see that all the
boys returned for day two. This time the boys were split up.
Jack and Nate ran the animal wheel where they gave out
stuffed animals to children if they win. Matt K and Nate
worked at the jumbo slide where they ensured safety and a
short wait time. As the sun went down, the families began to
depart and school busses filled with middle schoolers rolled
up. The boys enjoyed the people watching experience while
Jack reminisced on his days attending the fair as a middle
schooler. The day concluded at eleven and the boys went
home knowing they did a good job.
