Describe a character who has affected others.

Explain how the

character has shown it in the novel.

Based on the novel Captain Nobody written by Dean Pitchford, a

character who had affected others is Cecil Butterworth. He was
Newton Newman’s classmate and one of his best friends too. Below are
the reasons to support my statement.
Firstly, Cecil Butterworth was a determined young boy who had
a dream to own a bass drum. His determination had pushed Newton
Newman to overcome his fear of heights. For instance, he gave words of
encouragement for Newton Newman to climb the Dumpster to get a big
bass drum for him. He called Newton through a walkie talkie and asked
him to come to Warren and Kander Street in three minutes time. When
Newton arrived, Cecil asked him to get the bass drum on top of the
Dumspter for him. Newton was reluctant as he was fear of heights and
told Cecil to take it by himself. However Cecil told him as a fearless
Captain Nobody
In short, it has proven that Cecil’s great determination had encouraged
Newton to overcome his fear of heights. I really adore his positive
characteristic and would duplicate it so that I could spread it to others.
