Algebra II Assignment

Mr. Ferrara

Task: For this assignment, you will write a letter to a relative, friend, or pen pal

in the eighth grade who loves math and is interested in what you have been

learning recently in Algebra II. In your letter, talk about everything you have

learned about quadratic equations in your own words in a way such that an eighth

grade student can get a general idea of the concepts. Be sure to include a definition

of quadratic equations, a description of what one looks like on a graph, and brief

explanations of each of the three methods of solving quadratics (factoring,

completing the square, and the quadratic formula).
