Furthermore, trees are efficient on absorbing carbon dioxide from the

atmosphere for their photosynthesis process and in return, they give us oxygen.
In addition, the result of these activities, the world suffers from climate change.
For example, our country experience drought or El Niño which make it hard for
farmers to harvest their crop and also the intense heat may put many people at
risk of heat stroke and dehydration. In other countries, they experience different
weather patterns such as strong hurricanes and floods. Also, the rising sea levels
are due to melting polar ice caps that affects the coastal and low-lying areas.

Second, the development of our technology seems to progress each day. These
works of the mind have brought us new ways to simplify things. An example of
this, are the invention of the light bulbs. We all know that light bulbs are used
everywhere. It is used in our houses, schools, cars, and even in our phones.
However, this wonder that we consider also has its negative impacts. According
to Havas and Hutchinson, there are issues such as it emits ultraviolet and radio
frequency radiation, it produces electrical pollution and the mercury content of
light bulbs. And according to NASA, LED lights are changing the way cities looks
from space. It has been proven that LEDs worsen light pollution by giving off
more blue and green light, which may disrupt day and night cycles.

The time has come for us humans to give back to nature what we have taken,
focus on resolving this problem before it is too late. There are a lot of solutions
and some of them are very easy. For example, reducing the use of non-
renewable energy such as coal, oil and gas. We could switch to renewable
energy like solar energy. Another example is planting more trees and other
plants. And lastly, we should always remember the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse,
Recycle and from that we are able to put an end in this worldwide problem.
