RELATIONSHIP SANITATION COOP, COOP DISTANCE, DENSITY FLY,
DISTANCE OF WATER RESOURCES AND PERSONAL HYGIENE WITH
THE OCCURRENCE OF DIARE (Study on Chicken Farmers in Sub Continent
Kayong Ketapang)
In Sub Continent Kayong Ketapang has 3 village most of people as chiken farmers.
Diare disease is a disease-based environment, including environmental sanitation,
presence of vector and human behavior. Chiken farmers always direct contact with
environmental risk of diare. Based on the initial survey known as much as 20% a
chicken farmer had experienced diarrhea in the last 3 months, several factors can
affect the incidence of breeders that cage sanitation, cage distance, density of flies,
distance of the source of clean water and personal hygiene.
This study aims to determine the relationship cage sanitation, within the enclosure,
density of flies, distance of the source of clean water and personal hygiene with
incidence of diarrhea in Sub Continent Kayong Ketapang.
This type of research is observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The
sample in this study was a chicken farmer with number of 61 respondents..
Statistical test used is chi square (α = 5%).
The results showed have relationship between clean water source with p value =
0,02 (PR 1,480) Based on these studies, it is suggested to chicken farmers in Sub
Continent Kayong Ketapang further increase awareness of the things that can cause
diarrheal diseases such as processing of livestock barns environment,
environmental cleanliness and personal hygiene house and also the use a good
source of drinking water for consumption.
