It is easier and more affordable than ever to re-

place older, outdated single-function analog meters,
such as voltage, current, or frequency meters, with
newer, digital technology. As you know traditional
style analog meters are subject to interpretation er-
ror when the technician tries to determine the read-
ing according to the needle on the display. Not to
mention, that this style of meter must be read onsite.

The PM130 Series TrueM TM
Meter from SATEC si-
multaneously displays phases A, B, and C on a digi-
tal readout that provides exact readings. Because
all three phases are viewed at the same time, the
technician can instantly determine feeder condition
and balance.
With a touch of a button, the PM130 Meters will
display additional information, such as min/max
measurements (instantaneous and demands), real
time measurements, four quadrant readings (power
and power factor), and status information on relays,
counters, and TXD, RXD communications. The
PM130 Series provides True RMS measurement and
fast, real-time, cycle-by-cycle measurements at 32
samples per cycle. The units have an LED percent-
of-load bar that mimics the analog meter needle.
System Integration of the Old With the New
New
By replacing older analog meters with the PM130
Series TrueMMeterTM, you can easily integrate them
with Energy Management or SCADA systems in-
cluding MODBUS, ASCII, or DNP 3.0. By updating
and integrating older, analog meters, electrical pa-
rameters can be viewed and controlled remotely, as
well as adding remote alarm capabilities. The as-
signable registers feature allows the user (via
MODBUS or DNP 3.0 protocols) to determine what
information is communicated, so the “data highway”
does not get bogged down with unneeded data.

The PM130 Series directly replaces existing
ANSI 4” round style switchboard meters or a 92 X
92 mm DIN square system meter cutout. The unit is
constructed in a rugged, molded housing and fits in
the same cutout - no panel alteration is required.
The PM130 Series meets IEEE C37.90.1 surge with-
standing capacity, ANSI C62.41-1991 standard
surge standards, and more.
The units feature a unique “pass thru” rear cur-
rent CT input for easy connection and low burden.
The unique design offers system protection and/or
redundancy.
Not only are the meters affordable but one meter
replaces multiple analog meters. The PM130 re-
places 14 analog meters, the PM130P power model
replaces up to 42 analog meters , and the PM130E
energy model replaces up to 56 analog meters.
