Mentor Teacher:
It was pleasure to have Travis in my classroom. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him
and will miss having him. Travis’ reflective nature will prove invaluable throughout his
teaching career. I would recommend Travis for any position that he would wish to go for.
He is a hard worker, a wonderful collaborator, and a reflective educator that is always
willing to take initiative on a project and always does what is right for kids. Travis will be
a quality addition to the field of education. His future students are lucky to have him.
University Supervisor:
It has been a pleasure observing the development Travis has made over the course of the last 2
years of his experience as a pre-service and apprentice teacher in NevadaTeach. His dedication
to bring highly engaging, inquiry-based learning experience into his teaching practices is
amongst his biggest strengths that will make him an asset to any collaborative staff and student
population that are fortunate enough to have him as a teacher in their school. Another strength
that Travis brings to the classroom is his high knowledge of the content and ability to turn
complex scientific concepts into lessons that are challenging yet accessible to the students in
his class. Lastly, Travis has demonstrated commitment to being his best critic in which he has

routinely demonstrated high engagement in his own reflective practices and as a recipient of
critical constructive feedback. While listed are only a few of the strengths that Travis brings to
the classroom, many others are evidenced and I am confident that Travis has developed the
qualities and skills to be highly successful in a classroom of his own. It is without doubt that I
would highly recommend Travis for a position in a teaching job sought as his skills surpass those
that might be expected from a novice teacher.
