intensification methods. Extensification methods are when the farmer increases the amount of
land that is being farmed which in return increases the amount of product he is getting.
Intensification methods are when the farmer increases his product yield without growing the
overall size of his operation. The farmer might use higher yielding seeds or different fertilizers.
Farmers started really using intensification methods in the 20th century and it proved to be very
beneficial. Farms have been able to quadruple their output while the input has remained the
same. Learning this shows me how the agricultural world is becoming more and more efficient
as the years go on. This also shows me that we are not having to put any more work in while we
