CONSTRUCTION METHOD

1. CONSTRUCTION EXECUTION POLICY

Well established through construction planning is the key to a smooth and succesful construction
operation. Soon after Contract award, PT. Karinda Daya Perkasa will assign a Construction Planning
personnel’s in PT. Karinda’s home office, who have enough expertise in construction knowledge.

The construction Planning group will complete the execution plan covering the following points before
commencing the site work :

 Prepare the Site Construction Plan and coordinate with other discipline of project team.
 Prepare and review construction budget as well as direct and indirect cost.
 Prepare Subcontracting Plan and execute the subcontracting works as company procedure after
approved by Project Manager.
 Site Survey regarding to know site location and condition, site visit and check availability, quality
of vendor’s materials, tracing material transportation route to site.
 Prepare Construction Site Organization Chart.
 Prepare manpower and construction equipment mobilization plan.
 Planning of temporary faclities at site.
 Establishment of safety, health and environmental plan for project.
 Prepare pre-commisioning plan with Engineering.
 Review engineering and procurement progress to ensure all deliverable item such as drawings,
materials, etc to deliver to site before construction site needed (CRD-Construction Required
Dates).

The construction planning group shall be coordinated by Construction Planning Manager who will
perform constructability studies and communicate with other discipline groups to ensure that any
results of constructability studies are reflected into the design and engineering, procurement and
control activities.

2. SUBCONTRACTING PLAN

In order to ensure the timely mobilization of construction resources including labor, construction
equipment, materials and temporary facilities for maintaining the planned construction
schedule, PT. Karinda Daya Perkasa will select the subcontracts registered in Indonesia who have the
capability to execute and complete the work satisfactorily. PT. Karinda’s criteria of selecting a
subcontractor are not only price, but also experience, capability and their commitment to safety aspect.
The past successful performance with PT. Karinda Daya Perkasa will be a mayor criteria for
subcontractor.

KDP requires Vendor and or Subcontractor to implement quality requirement as stipulate in PO and or
Sub-contract document. Vendor and or Subcontractor shall develop their quality plan in accordance
with requirements or with the approval from KDP, they may use their own quality system.

Subcontracting plan are detailed in Project Quality Plan Requirement.

3. MOBILIZATION PLAN

PT. Karinda Daya Perkasa will mobilize staffs and labors, construction equipment and its facilities to
ensure the Project Milestones.

a. Staff and Labor


PT. Karinda shall mobilize the required manpower as per master schedule.
The number of manpower will be monitored and adjusted to actual site condistion and
achievement of work progress.

b. Vendor Supervisors
PT. Karinda Daya Perkasa shall employed vendor supervisor, if required, in order to ensure
warranty of equipment operation.

4. TEMPORARY FACILITIES

PT. Karinda Daya Perkasa will develop the following temporary facilities considering operation and
maintenance during construction period.

 Site office around construction area, considering assigned location by PT. PetroChina International
Jabung Ltd.
 Warehouse and material lay-down area including securily fences, considering assigned location by
PT. PetroChina International Jabung Ltd.
 First aid facilities
 Mechanic shop assigned location by PT. PetroChina International Jabung Ltd.
 Safety facilities.
 Security Guard Post.
 Stock yard.
 Power house
 Water treatment plant.
 Laboratory
 Utility supplies such as electric, portable water, construction water (PT. Karinda shall tie-in to
existing facilities)
 Welfare and accomodation for personnel such as housing, transport, clinic, communication, daily
utilities, etc.
 Personnel transportation and parking.
 Construction equipment parking area.
 Drainage facilities and access.
 Bulletin board for government regulation, Safety and others information.
 Fire fighting system.

PT. Karinda Daya Perkasa will provide our own facilities and personnel transportation.

Layout.

5. CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT

The mobilization schedule of major construction equipment is shown in Construction Equipment


Mobilization Schedule.

6. DEMOBILIZATION

PT. Karinda Daya Perkasa will demobilize construction manpower, temporary faclities and
construction equipment from site upon completion of the work except the manpower and items still
required for operation test and warranty work.

7. CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE

In order to keep the construction schedule meets project requirements, PT. Karinda Daya Perkasa will
develop a detailed construction schedule at an early stage of the Project and implement it to all aspects
of the project requirements.

8. FIELD MATERIAL CONTROL PROCEDURE

To ensure material control including relevant QC/ QA requirements and material traceability, PT.
Karinda will make mandatory of key point for field material control and warehousing. Field Material
Control System(FMCS) will be used by PT. Karinda for control system at the site office.

Details of such control system is described in Project Quality Plan Requirement.

9. WORK PLAN

The work plan are detailed in Batching plant Operation Procedure.
