VISION
To create computer professionals with a strong academic and technical background to achieve
special distinction at the national and international arena and also to serve and lead the society
MISSION
Providing excellent learning opportunities for students in Computer Science and Engineering to
meet the needs of Nation as a whole.
Establishing centers of research in areas of the immediate needs to the society.
Develop ICT based solutions for the development of the nation.
PEO2: Graduates will be prepared to communicate and work effectively on the multidisciplinary
engineering projects practicing the ethics of their profession with a sense of social responsibility.
PEO3: Graduates will recognize the importance of life-long learning to become experts either as
entrepreneurs or employees and to widen their knowledge in their domain.
a. Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering principles to the problems
in Computer Science and Engineering domain.
b. Ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
c. Ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering
practice.
d. Ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired goals in their domain
considering environmental, social and ethical aspects.
e. Ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
f. Ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems.
g. Understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.
h. Ability to communicate effectively.
i. Ability to understand the impact of software solutions in a global, environmental and societal

5. Aim/Course Description : To study and understand the concepts and procedures associated with
E-Commerce and the Internet and also to understand the overview of
all aspects of E-Commerce, development of the Internet associated
E- Commerce, options available for doing business on the Internet,
features of Web sites and the tools used to build an E-Commerce web
site, marketing issues, payment options, security issues and customer
service.
7. Course Objectives:
To understand an overview of various E- Commerce applications.
To know the fundamentals of various E- Commerce types like ERP, EDI, and CRM.
To understand the process of Supply Chain Management, Online advertising and online
marketing.
To learn the concepts of resource discovery, information search, retrieval and filtering.
To understand the usage of multimedia data in E- Commerce applications.
8. Course Outcomes:
Learners should be able to
apply knowledge of E- Commerce framework to various applications.
analyze different types of electronic payment systems.
apply the techniques for intra and internal commerce, automation, Supply Chain Management,
corporate digital library, advertising and marketing.
analyze the concept of information search, retrieval, filtering and discovery of resources.
implement the concepts of multimedia data processing like digital video processing, desktop
video conferencing in E–Commerce applications.
